Wants you to think - link your readings, personal experience and the experience of others in the class. Really reads your papers and makes thoughtful comments. Wants us to learn and talk about what we learn. He is really student focused and always available via e-mail, phone or by appointment (or drop-in) in his office. A caring and kind prof.

I did not get much out of this class. Very frustrating not being able to understand what the class was about. Teacher had a real round-about way of answering questions.

Loved this class. Took me a bit of time to trust that this prof wanted me TO THINK and link my experience and the literature. I "got into it" and learned an incredible amount. Wish all my classes were like this.

-Made me think outside of the box; hard for some class members. Wants us to think and make connections between our experiences and the literature. Reads what we write - you can tell from his notes. Really interesting class. I learned tons.

His classes are structured like seminars. You discuss readings although sometimes his contributions are just "yeah, uh-huh, right...". He has no exams or tests in his classes, which is great!
