Comment:
His CRS 101 class was not awful. Theres was a lot of reading but it was at least mildly entertaining. Class discussion is important to him, however he often spends the majority of the class talking about himself. He is not clear on what he expects from the class, thus making it difficult to get a good grade.

Dr. Easton is the best professor I've had at W&J. He seems a little crazy because of his off the wall comments and strange sense of humor, but once you get to know him, you'll understand that that's just part of his personality. If you take ENG 190, he really teaches you how to improve your writing skills. He is extremely helpful and really cares!

Easily one of the better professors I've had at W&J. Although he may seem to go off on tangents during lectures, he's incredibly intelligent and knows what he's talking about. He has a very offbeat sense of humor and really tries to connect with his students. Dr. Easton is an amazing man, so take his classes while he's still here!

This professor is unorganized and gets off track in class discussions, so you never know what the book is about. He leads you to the point he wants to make and everything else is wrong. He isn't clear with instructions for papers or presentations. He doesn't get grades back in a timely fashion so you don't know what you will receive in the class

Incredibly difficult to understand--always rambles during lectures and discussions. Makes you feel stupid if you don't know the answer to one of his off-the-wall questions. Grades papers with no real explanation of why you received the score he gave you. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASSES.

This man needs to retire. He rambles with random stories and never gives you precise instructions on what he is looking for in your papers. You write a paper and cross your fingers it was what he was looking for. And when you ask for guidance on a paper, you get another round of random babble from him. But go to London, he'll give you a good grade.

The BEST professor at W&J. Hands down. Take as many classes as you can with him; you will not only learn how to be an excellent writer, but you will learn about history, society, and yourself. I still keep in touch with the Eastons-- they are truly amazing and inspiring people. Take the time to get to know them!

All he does during class is tell boring stories over and over that have no relation to the actual assignments! Unless you are one of his favorites that go on the London intersession, expect to be ignored. Please retire already.

I just love Richard Easton. He is very nice and very helpful. He cracks me up too! I would recommend him for any English courses, especially intro to lit because although it is difficult, you will know your stuff when you come out of there.

Pretends as if mindless rantings are the same thing as instruction. He's too busy for his students. Doesn't clearly explain what he wants. Fails to teach techniques or ways to imporve one's writing. Oh, you made a comma splice..well, tell us what it is. Finally, the Flower book should be burned
