The most adorable man you will ever learn from. He does hands on learning, and you must go to class because A LOT of the material he covers is not from the book.

His teaching style is very weird & not very helpful. Your notes will consist of drawings you made during lecture & when you go back to review your notes, you have no idea what you're looking at. His tests are moderately difficult & he only uses the book for clarifying main points. I liked Moore better than him as she at least used PowerPoint.

Go to class! Hes old fashioned so you need to write down everything he says. His exams are hard but doable. He does a significance of a word and his favorite 3 fold proof. If you get the 3 fold proof down you're golden cause mostly all his test q's revolve around that concept. He's helpful if you go to office hours and he really wants you to learn.

Dr. Elinson really knows the subject material. However, his tests are unfairly hard and no matter how hard you study its difficult to predict what he is expecting from you. The pictures in class look like something a kindergartner would draw and his tests ask graduate-level questions that many times include unclear and poorly written questions.

After having Moore, he was a breath of fresh air. take good notes on his drawings; you won't remember what they are when it comes time for the final if you don't. He loves what he teaches and is very knowledgeable. Also, I wish he was my grandfather, he is one of the sweetest, happiest people I've ever met. Simply adorable.

I loved Dr. Elinson. He truly loved what he taught and that excitement made it much easier to learn. MUCH better than Moore; he cared if you learned the material. His first test was cake- the final, not so much. Take good notes on his drawings and you'll be fine.

Go to class! Otherwise, his class drawing and diagrams that he posts on blackboard will not make sense! I love this guy though. He is the type of old guy who is always smiling and you want to give him a hug. But don't underestimate his tests!

Dr. Elinson is very sweet and nice. You will LOVE him after having Moore. His tests are easier than Moore's, but require a lot of hard studying. Study from the notes and definitely the textbook. His notes can be confusing so the textbook is very helpful.

Very nice guy who makes an effort...but its not good enough. His class notes are essentially drawings on an overhead with no clarity or organization...he is better than Moore though. Of his 2 exams the first one was easy I got an A..the final WOW good luck. I got about a 170/300 on it and I studied my butt off. Read the textbook.

Very good professor. His tests are kind of hard but if you attend the lecture and ask him any questions during his office hours you should be ok. Sometimes his questions get very in depth.

Far superior to Dr. Moore. His presentation style is much more effective. His tests are also much more fair, I have no idea what the people before me were talking about. The class average on exams went up substantially after he took over. Great bio teacher.

This class was ridiculous because lecture was sooooo easy and the tests were IMPOSSIBLE! Half the time in lecture we did skits or watched crazy hippy movies about DNA synthesis. Then when it came time for tests, they were almost entirely from very specific sections in the book and were really hard! People spent 10 hours a day studying!

Even though his lectures were more enjoyable then Moore's, his tests and the final were impossibly hard. If you don't take really good notes during lecture, you won't understand later. He likes to use pictures as his notes. It's amusing but not very helpful. He was a nice guy though.

It is definately easier to attend his 8 a.m. lecture than Dr. Moore's (when I went to her's) I actually understood a lot of what he was talking about before reading the text. Take in depth notes to remember what you were writing about - its hard to remember everything when you sat there at 8-9:15

I really enjoyed Dr. E's portion of verterbrate anatomy. He barely uses the text at all, so be sure to attend his lectures since this is where he gets all the test questions from. He likes you to think for yourself and understand broad concepts. His tests are pretty hard but not impossible - some questions were out of left field. Tough grader.

He is a really good teacher and knows what he's talking about. His tests are a lot of his notes, so go to lectures. He's much better than Moore, the class average for his test went up over 10% from the Moore tests. He doesn't rely on power point, you take notes instead. He specializes in development, so I'm scared for that test.

Dr. Elinson is a horrible teacher. His notes are vague and often hard to understand. He needs to find a different way of presenting the material. It's obvious that he knows his material, but he assumes that we know the same amount. He needs to remember that we're just freshmen.
