Easy class! No final exam or midterm, grades are based on homework assignments which can all be found on quizlet. He always uses real life examples to explain his context which makes it easy to learn. Loves cars. MAKE SURE you read the syllabus before the first day of class. He writes his 2 huskies names randomly and asks you about it.

Comment:

Professor Golen is a very good professor that knows his stuff. He has an interactive lecture and puts a funny and witty spin on what is usually boring material. Everything is based on the online work and attendance. There should be no reason to not get an A. Highly recommend!

If you do all the assignments on time then you should get an A. The syllabus says that attendance counts towards your grade, but it never did! Just do the online Connect assignments (google all the answers) and you will get an A no problem! However, he does not let you use electronics in class, so his lectures can drag one and get boring.

Professor Golen was by far one of the best professors I have had at the university. His lectures were great, you can tell that he knows his stuff and enjoys teaching it. The class grade was based on online Connect work. There were no quizzes, exams, or papers. Overall it was an easy class and fun to learn.

INCREDIBLY easy class. If you don't pass it w/ flying colors then something is wrong. Attendance is mandatory (sign in sheet). The lecture is boring, but the tests are EXACTLY the same questions from the study guides. He's got a strange sense of humor and will call you out for texting. Nice guy and accommodating if anything comes up.

Very easy class if you study your exam reviews he gives out before the exam he will pull the same exact questions out of that for the exam. Attendance is a must for this class he has a sign in. Also he is very strict about texting. He will stop dead in the middle of his lecture and stare at you until you put it away.

This class is cake. Impossible to fail! Go to class,take the notes,complete the review sheets before each exam and you will get an A; all questions from the test are taken right from the review sheets. If you are satisifed with your grade you don't need to take the final. Golen doesn't refer to the book much but you need it for the review sheets.

Prof. Golen is great!!! The class is very easy and he gives great example to make you understand. Attendance is not mandatory although he passes out attendance sheets sometimes. Exams are very easy, cuz everything is already on the review sheets that he gives just go over them and you're good to go. I definitely recommend him.

Professor Golen is one of my favorite teachers. Everything on the tests was covered in the review sheets. The online quizzes were open book so that was a no brainer. Just follow the attendance policy, no phones in class and you will get an A.

Easy class. Got an A. Just 4 multiple-choice exams that are cake; you get a study sheet with all the answersâ€" can't beat that. Attendance is mandatory, but its a space-out class. He's kind of a dork, and easily offended, can't take sarcasm, so just space out and you'll be fine.

i had no problems with this professor, i honestly liked him/enjoyed the class, the material, although boring at times, is material that is good to know. Online quizes are garenteed 100's, in class quizes are multiple choice and T/F, which he GIVES you a list of questions that he chooses from. No h/w. Study for quizes and the class will be easy.

Very good professor. He explains things clearly and can be funny. Just go to class, listen, and take notes. The tests questions come directly from the lectures and notes. You do not need to read the chapters although he suggests you do. I had no interest in the class when i signed up for it and i really enjoyed it when i was done.

Worst professor umass has EVER SEEN! This guy is by far the rudest man I have ever met in my life. Honestly, the comments must be true about him growing up without parents as a child. This guy is miserable, and will make you just as misable if you come in contact with him. Will go out of his way to destroy your life if he doesn't like you, no joke!

Whatever you do, DO NOT say anything negative against this person, even if indirectly. This man for saying 2 cents about the business department put me on University Jeopardy and nearly had me suspended from the school. This man cannot be trusted, and should be fired from the University.
