Gribble is a very kind and caring man. He is extremely intelligent and super passionate about his subjects and writing. However the lectures are very dry and not the most interesting. He gives three papers and two tests; a midterm and a final. He is a very tough grader on papers and he assigns homework every night. Nice but its a tough class.

I don't get how he's gotten so many good reviews. He's nice and all, and willing to help you if you go to him, but his class is ridiculous. He assigns two 10 paged papers, which are due in the same weeks as the midterm and final. He also assigns a 'book review', along with pages upon pages of reading for each and every class.

Have never had a professor before who cares so much about the success of his students... really helpful in every way, will give you sources from his own library for papers, etc.; has two papers, midterm and final; pretty tough grader but very fair. very knowledgeable, class is pretty interesting on a day to day basis

Father Gribble is probably one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. He REALLY wants all of his students to suceed. He puts his powerpoints all online and will make apointments with you to go over papers. Write just 4 essays with multiple topic options. Readings are straightforward and discussions really help with text understanding.

Comment:

Professor Gribble is the sweetest man. Although the majority of his teaching revolves around PowerPoint presentations, he still gets the class talking and discussing. He writes an entire page of feedback when you hand in a paper, and doesn't care if you miss a class as long as you actively participate when you're there. Great professor.

the BEST professor at Stonehill College. He is willing to help you with everything and gives you ample time to get assignments done. He is willing to look at your paper prior to handing it in for a grade and helped me with my writing so much! I learned so much about religion and myself in this class! can't wait to take another one of his classes

Gribble is the best professor I've had! He truly loves teaching, and is always willing to help all of his students with anything. If you get the chance to take ANY of his classes, do it. I've taken two with him so far and I'm hoping to take another.

Gribble is awesome. He is always there to help when you need it, and he gives you tons of positive feedback. His grading is very fair, but you are expected to know the material. Only 3 papers, a midterm and a final. He really knows his stuff. I highly recommend him.

One of the best teachers I've ever had! He is so passionate about teaching and an amazing person. Sometimes gives a lot of work but not too bad, mostly reading. Only 3 papers, midterm and final. And he always encourages you to come to him for advice on papers. Lectures are clear and organized and discussions are always interesting. Awesome teacher!

Wicked nice guy that cares about the success of his students - will sit down with you and thoroughly go over a rough draft to better your grade (though I don't undestand how there can still be flaws with the paper after doing that). Although, there is alot of work/reading that is gone over in class along with lectures (which I liked the most).

Not bad at all. He's super nice and really passionate about what he teaches. You only have to read for discussion because he will outline everything else for you. No quizzes or tests. Just 3 papers (our of four.. he lets you skip one) and a midterm and a final. There are a few research projects but not too difficult. He's not a hard grader.
