Never any tests, you get plenty of papers so ace them. Oh, and do the readings too cause they're on the final. No midterm. If you can get copies of the book from a friend in class, you're better off. She's unclear about the major assignments but if you ask, she'll try her best to explain and will take a whole class to go over it.

A nice lady and an easy class, but her grading is a bit different. I wouldn't recommend using big words, semi colons or anything that you would be encouraged to use in an English class in your papers (which entirely make up your grade). Basically, just write it simple and while the paper may sound boring, you'll get a good grade.

I'm not really sure what to make of her. Her class was easy but her grading doesn't make sense. She insists on students asking for help but when they do she does not seem interested. Nice lady, but do not even bother buying the books.. waste of over $100.

Groarke is always a great teacher. Fun class and makes the material interesting. Papers can be a bit difficult but the tests are very clear and concise. The key is to take very good notes on what she says not just what is on the board.

This was a very interesting class. You'll learn a whole bunch about U.S. Government. Personally, I found I learned mostly by reading - not by lectures. Liberal, but will not grade papers in a biased manner. Very nice professor, who is willing to help. Take her if you can.

Definitely a super easy class. No homework, the papers are basically opinion based, and the tests require little studying. She's really nice and kind of goofy which makes the class really fun and easy to understand. You barely ever have to take notes, just pay attention and you'll find it easy to relate to real life

ive had her for about 3 classes ...she will not give A's (A- each time!). She is always willing to help outside of class. I feel bad for kids that dont know anythign about politics cause she can be condescending towards them. Her papers count more than tests which is strange.

Horrible professor. If she doesn't like you, she'll grade you as hard as she possibly can. I have a 4.0 for the semester so far and I'm fighting with her to give me a B-. Class discussion is irrelevant to the material on the tests, and she's just as likely to take us off course as anyone else in the class. She's not the worst, but she's close.
