i just took this class and honestly it was one of the hardest classes i have ever took in my entire education.Don't Worry though if you study the hand outs and read you will pass ...i never had any idea what was going on in the class and got a C+...trust me a C+ is good in this class.Not to scare anyone but the tests are pretty much impossible and

Good professor. The material is very difficult. But if you do the readings you can get A's on the quizzes and at least pass the tests. He is helpful if you have questions on material and the paper assignment. I recommend taking the class because the lectures are interesting.

Do not take this class, it's impossible. There is absolutely no way to get an A for the class. Sometimes I got the feeling he didn't want to give you an A. There is just too much boring reading. It's not a social studies class like I thought, it's more like philosophy, something that few people in the class could wrap their head around.

This class was not at all what I thought it would be- it was ALL theory. It discouraged me the entire semester. No matter how much I did read, I would get poor grades while everyone else who did not read got A's. Very mundane, tons of reading (esp. if you're busy), hated the paper assignment (too restricting). Good luck.

The material was presented well and there were many interesting class discussions. The instructor was very willing to help. The class seemed a little rushed, probably because one semester is barely enough time to get a descent overview of the subject. I reccommend taking this class.

Very very easy if you do the reading. Others struggle only because they don't come to class prepared. Also, I say some comments saying he's boring; but the class isn't boring if students participate, which they don't, because they aren't prepared.

Boring maybe helpfull at times just boring early moring classes and at that time you need a teacher that will motivate you. I thought that class could have been taught in the manner where it would have been intresting but Funk makes it anything but.

i'll definately say he's ONE of the worst teachers. very boring, the notes he uses in class for lectures were YELLOW cause they were so old. he's retired now but still teaches one class a semester. AVOID THIS PROFESSOR!!!
