I loved Dr. Haunton's Civil War class. I believe he truly is a History student's professor. You must be the type of person who sits with rapt attention at History documentaries, seminars, etc. in your free time. Dr. Haunton is very old-school History in his manner of speaking. I thoroughly enjoyed him.

He's as nice as he can be, but also as boring as he can be. This class involves a lot of reading, a lot of writing, and a lot of boredom in his class. Do not take this class, unless you have a very long attention span. You will hate yourself for signing up for this class otherwise.

Guy is a genius in his field. But his test are hard. There only a couple of test with essays on all of them. cover good bit of material. Interesting little man. Huge Red Sox fan. Really not that bad.

Highly knowledgeable. Tough, but fair. Kind. Good sense of humor. Wanders a bit but, overall, stays on track. Your appreciation for his teaching will largely depend on whether you enjoy history and are willing to learn.

You have to study, read, take notes, and write essays that require thought & effort on tests. Yes, he does get off subject a bit & it's a hard class, but if you do what you're supposed to & just listen to him, you'll learn a ton in the end.

DO NOT TAKE!!!!! Wonderful guy but the tests are extremely hard because the questions come from no where with no study guide to follow... extremely hard on essays...not a good writer, you will not make anything higher than a C
