Comment:

Takes attendance, but I never minded going to this class. Quizzes online so you can use your book, but they are timed so be careful. One group project, but not hard and it's really fun. Cancels class on day of online quizzes and usually cancels class the day before a break. Also gives extra credit opportunities. I would definitely take her again!

Comment:

She's very passionate about music. Offers extra credit opp.s if you read the book. Reviews the previous lecture at the beginning of every class. Has a high soprano voice that will blow your mind. And it doesn't hurt that she's gorgeous to the point of distraction. (Well, it might a little if you can't manage to hold onto her voice while staring.)

This class was easy. She doesn't test or quiz you on anything that isn't covered in class. She tells you that if you have a b and have been to most of the classes, she'll bump you up to an A. The quizzes are all taken online and she cancels class on those days. Very very easy.

alright teacher, two exams and random extra credits for people who read the book. she goes over the notes in class. one big group project, and online quizzes that she cancels that class for you to have time to take. a bunch of people forget to take them and dont do too hot in the class.... shes an alright teacher

Ms. Kay is wonderful. First of all, she's young and into more modern music as opposed to ancient classical stuff, and plus it's an easy theory class. I would definitely recommend her for such a basic class. She knows how to liven things up, and has a set of high soprano pipes that would blow you away!

Very fun teacher, easy tests/quizzes if you know the material and take good notes, good extra credit, and is consistently prepared. Open, honest, and friendly. Goes beyond the norm--often dresses to match the current musical period studied. Lots of fun, highly recommended!

I thought this class would be harder than it was because of the ratings I read. It was an awesome class!!! Mrs. Kay is passionate about music and the arts and that helps alot. Quizs are timed, but that's not a problem. She really cares about you, the student. By far my favorite class this semester. You'll really appreciate music after this class.

Seriously my favorite class. Take good notes and you'll do fine on the quizes...they are easy. I got 5 pts extra on my final grade for wearing a burger king hat to class...fairly intresting,and you can chill out...she is nice and if you get on her good side then she will help you. Iim a pol sci major and i thought it was not bad at all....DEF take!

Class is fun to attend. Test are very short but obscure. The real killer are the online quizzes. Final is comprehensive. Stay on her good side and you will be ok. Do not underestimate the class and study like it is a history class and you will make an A.

Kim Kay should not be teaching. She makes unintelligent comments and gives poor lectures. If you want to learn anything its up to you to read the book. The class is easy, however anyone with any academic integrity should heed my advice and not take her class.
