It is necessary for you to take notes everyday, and despite the fact that class isn't mandatory, you have to go to class to get notes. Thankfully, he does give take home exams for this course. He is a great professor and always more than willing to help.

Great lecturer. His voice is so smooth. Pay attention and take notes and you have everything for the test, which are not bad. He lets you know where you messed up on the test. Is very knowledgable about early American History. Loves Andrew Jackson.

Amazing--makes history fascinating. Take him for writing intensive classes, seriously! You have to write a ton, like 100 pages or so spread out over 4-5 papers, but complete open notes for tests. So much easier that way!

This guy rocks. Take the class and enjoy. History to me is borring and this class is exciting. Take the class as a p/f though casue he is hard. He will pass you if you try hard. Lots of old test out there use them!!! Without them you are helpless!
