He does a great job at explaining the statistics. Be prepared for tests there are 3 of them and all use SPSS but the first test is two parts. You will be prepared for the follow on class in either PA 606 or CP 625.

Parker is a nice guy is and extremely patient and helpful with students (great for a grad program). His classes are painfully boring but I think it might be the subject matter. He makes jokes to keep you interested. The final project was brutal but I learned a lot. He curves exams to help you succeed.

This was a required course in my graduate program. Parker has a very dry, sarcastic sense of humor and is very straight forward. He will tell you when you are wrong but he will also help you when you are struggling. He was a lot more laid back in this class than in 604. Overall he is a quality teacher and I like him.

the subject matter is interesting but the lecture can get boring. attendance isn't mandatory but lectures help you study 2 tests both open book/notes and a paper on a subject you chose i got a B in the class and didn't do good on the paper. There are test questions about the videos which is where I lost points so take good notes on them

Great professor who if very knowledgeable in the subject. Talks about current issues and makes them interesting. 2 tests which are both open book/note. One 3 page paper on a topic of your choosing. Attendance not mandatory but lectures help to study.

Very interesting lectures on topics that are affecting urban governments. I really enjoyed this class. One paper (3 pages doubled-space), 2 exams (Open Book/Notes) -- fair grader. I would recommend this class!

Great Class! Take this professor. He makes subject interesting. You don't have to read and memorize everything in text. Just take good notes and all points on the exams he emphasizes in class. Book is just a backup. exams are multiple choice, fill-in and short essay - all from lecture. One paper - grades this easy-Interesting discussions

THIS PROFESSOR IS AMAZING. I WISH I WOULD HAVE COME ACROSS PROFESSOR PARKER SOONER THAN WHEN I DID. HIS TESTS ARE OPEN BOOK, BUT YOU WILL NEED TO STUDY IN ORDER TO DO WELL. YOU NEED TO KNOW WHERE TO GO FOR THE INFORMATION AND NOT MEMORIZE EVERYTHING WHICH IS HOW LIFE REALLY IS. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE!

Mr. Parker is highly disorganized... he goes off on huge tangents on lectures and hardly ever returns to what the lecture was about...loves to show history movies there were about 3 movies in about 8 classes...3 m/c tests no papers he gives a quick review before test half of the questions are not even on there. I managed to score B on test'. 89%=A

Nice guy who really knows his stuff, do not need to buy reader he creates but would by books that you read(2 small ones), three tests that he makes sound terribly hard but they are not, when everyone left his tests they thought they failed...but everyone lands in the B range on them, doesn't take attendance but all info you need is in lecture.....

Parker is a nice guy who knows his stuff. Class topics include growth, globalization, and water. Attendance is optional, but you must be in class to take notes. Reading is optional as he goes over it in class. However, attendance is mandatory as all of the questions from the exams come from lecture. As long as you go to class and pay somewhat close attention you will be fine. Overall pretty easy class.
