Definitely one of the best professors out there. He really make history come alive and you can see he really loves what he does. He will wear costumes to class and isn't afraid of what anyone thinks of him. He challenges you to think and made me want to actually go back in time to see what he was talking about. YOU MUST TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN.

The easiest and most fun classes taught at Penn State. Pawling is the best professor in this school! He has only 3 exams, and the class before he goes over everything on the exam. Advice is to show up and pay attention and you will get a good grade. He bends over backwards for his students, and couldn't make his class easier.

pawling is craaazy and i love it. he definately makes everything very interesting by dressing up for class in different costumes. definately take this class. its one of the few classes i can actually say i remember just about everything he talks to us about. he acts everything out which makes things very clear for students.

Pawling is the best professor ever. I actually looked forward to going to his class. He doesn't just stand up front and give boring lectures, he teaches and has fun while doing it. He really cares about his students. He came to watch my band play our first show. He is the man...take his class.
