Amazing Professor. I took this class as an elective and I looked forward going to it every time. The course is structured very meticulously and you can tell he cares very much about the subject. Very intelligent and funny! Pay attention in class, read the textbook and powerpoint slides and you will be fine. I definitely recommend this class.

The class is entirely lecture based, which can get boring. Lots of powerpoint slides, which he posts online so you can print out to study. 3 tests, which were challenging. Do the practice questions on the study guides and read the lecture slides and you should be OK. There was also a project that was not too challenging as long as you pay attention

Dr. Rees is for certain an incredible mind. Furthermore, he is extremely enthusiastic about this subject, as his background would suggest, and said enthusiasm is even more evident in the manner in which he conducts this course. With that being said, for someone who isn't willing to devote time and effort will find difficulties awaiting them.

This class the only difficult part would be the tests- but of that theres only three of them throughout the course, Plenty of opportunities for extra credit- outside of class extra credit and if you do over a certain amount of homework assignments it can give you extra points as well. Corny, yet funny jokes, typical science guy personality.

Had him for astronomy, although the lectures were a little dry he was super funny. The attendance bonus (for going to every class) added 3 points to my course average at the end of the semester! One of my favorite classes, would definitely recommend

The guy clearly knows his stuff and seems to have a very specific formula for his class. You can learn a lot if you want to, or you can do the work and forget it. The tests are hard but are mostly multiple choice with some basic math problems thrown in, study the guides he gives you and follow assignments and you'll be ok. Lots of corny jokes.

incredibly smart dude, likes to crack jokes. Pretty funny, he tries to keep it interesting. The man clearly likes his sci-fi and he'll let you know it. get ready to look at pictures of aliens. I'd take his class over and over again. overall hes a good guy. accepts assignments late, is very realistic and really knows his stuff.

Great teacher! Even though the information covered was rather difficult, and I had zero experience with anything like it, I passed with a good grade. He clearly loves his job, is hilarious, easy going understanding, and is an overall great professor. Homework and projects actually weren't too time consuming. I highly recommend him. Hes a great guy

I loved him! He knows most ppl are there for their science credit and really gives you the opportunity to get the credits while still keeping your GPA up. SO many easy x cred. tests r terrible, but doable. His jokes are so funny. I'll miss him, even tho I hate the subject.

The subject of this class was SO HARD! That being said, he is a really nice guy, kind of funny, a little bit of a dork, but he's awesome! You can tell he totally loves his job and the subject. He gives a ton of assignments which is good because the tests are really hard so you can still do well even if you don't do well on the tests. Take him!

He says uh or um every other word. if you don't pay attention to it, hes fine. He is helpful and lovessss what he teaches. He has extra credit opportunities and as long as you try the homework he gives you credit. But his tests aren't easy.

very VERY difficult class, but great professor. he does everything he can and more to help you try to get what he is teaching, he also offers tons of different opportunities to bring your grade up. if you have to take astronmy if would recommend taking it with him

really hard class. i think he did everything he could to try to help you understand it. teaches with lectures and powerpoints that can be kind of boring, but he's a nice guy. i'd reccomend taking him. gives a lot of different assignments so there are lots of opportunities to bring grades up if you do crappy on his hard tests.

Recommend this class. You do need to study a lot for the final and the midterm, but the homework problems are just graded on effort, not on accuracy. He's very approachable and the class is a lot of fun. The material is challenging, but not too bad.
