Ringer is a nice guy but his lectures are not organized at all. He will tell the same long barely-relevant-to-class-material stories multiples times. His time management also isn't great, so be prepared to have to stay late, but also lets out early sometimes. The class consists of a lot of reading and 6 papers.

Best professor I had at ISU. Makes you think more critically, makes you a better writer and is an inspiration to all. This professor is very skilled in his course and can teach you so much about culture (change & leadership). He makes you a better person in general by constantly keeping you on your feet by asking critical and smart questions.

I seriously learned so much in this class, and had an awesome group of classmates. Ringer's case analyses are challenging but they'll make you a better thinker and writer. He changed the way I feel about writing papers, as I used to despise it. Overall, awesome professor. Word of advice: start the final EARLY!!!!

Dr. Ringer is one of the most insightful and knowledgeable people I have ever come across. He works every day to make sure you are a better thinker than you were before you walked in. An amazing guy and a great teacher. Do yourself a favor a take him. You will not regret it.

Professor Ringer doesn't give tests, but instead you have papers to write. He prefers to set a maximum page limit instead of a minimum - which makes it harder. Writing guidlines are increadibly clear - couldn't be better. I like the in class participation and the way he manages lectures. Great teacher! You learn the material!!

Awesome teacher. Class was pretty straight forward. Doesn't lecture, lots of group work. Decent amount of outside homework but it's fairly straight forward. Easy B unless you're an idiot.

Not an easy class what so ever, but Ringer helps you get by with a B. He is extremely helpful in office hours. We read 4 books and dozens of case studies, and then reported on all. Very hard concepts and books to read, but if you put in your share of work, you will be able to pull off a B

this is a reading and writing class to be prepared. We read about 4 books and 10 articles the 1st half of the semester. I learned sooo much but the class was hard don't get me wrong. He is a tough grader too. Take home final and make sure that you start it early.

I have never learned so much from one class before. He is a tough grader though. I found that he could sometimes be a little arrogant but in general he was an okay guy. My only complaint is that he would forget to email us reading material so we would end up having a very short time to read things. He sometimes acted like we were only in ONE class.

TAKE THIS TEACHER! You will learn more in this class than your last 10 business classes combined. Instead of spewing out the same old crap other teachers always use (situational leadership, fredrick taylor, MBTI, corporate strategy, bla bla) he teaches completely new and original material. He makes class interesting and is a fantastic teacher.

best teacher and class i have had so far at Illinois state. his class it tough but he grades on imporvement over the year so if you try hard and work with him to improve, you can get an A. very smart guy with lots of experience. Always keeps discussions enjoyable!! TAKE HIM!

Dr. Ringer was awesome! It's a tough class, but he makes it enjoyable. Just make sure to read because you'll fall behind fast if you don't. No tests, but a decent amount of writing. Class discussions were always fun with him... definitely take him if you can! You'll learn a LOT in his class!

Good guy and great professor, but make sure to study hard for his tests. There are only 2 tests and the final, along with attendance quizzes, but he does not make the tests worth very many points, so if you mess up on one of them you will have a hard time catching up to get a good grade.

Dr. Ringer has a real passion for management. He has a good sense of humor. The class is not too incredibly difficult, but can be a bit boring at times. You could probably get away with not buying the book because he post the power points from the book on his website. All the material that is on the tests is on the power points.

Ringer is a great teacher and is highly intelligent. You learn a lot from the assigned readings and cases. Reading is mandatory for the case studies at the end of the semester so make sure to read. Class discussions were always a riot. Come to class with current events its always fun to discuss before class material.

Ringer is a great guy! He's really funny and entertaining in class. However, he tends to be redundant a lot and scatter-brained at times. But all in all, its a good class and its pretty easy.

Ringer was an okay professor. He went off tangent during class and we were behind in the material. He definitely tried to trick students on the exams and quizzes. This wasn't a tough class but you had to try extremely hard for an A. I would recommend finding someone else for the class.
