I did not have him for POL1000, but the class I had him for is not listed. You cannot slack off in his class; he's a tough grader. He has high standards for his students. His lectures are filled with interesting information. He's a bit boastful, but he makes up for it with his passion and knowledge. Overall, the class was a great experience.

Every time I take this professor I enjoy it a lot! Probably my favorite professor at PUC. All of his lectures are incredibly interesting and he really gets into his lectures. Such an interesting subject and the professor made it fun! Assignments are tough but fair. Definitely take this professor.

Comment:

This professor wants his students to be engaged with the world around them, the American Political System, and how that system works. It is a thought provoking class with great discussions. Although, be ready for some seriously difficult work with all essays for tests and questions, and be able to apply the topics in the text not just recite them.

This professor knows what he is talking about and really wants you, as an American citizen, to know what you are talking about. However, please be prepared for tough grading and a lot of pressure prior to testing. Very difficult, but very engaging. So, if you're up for the challenge, take the class with Rupp.

He's entertaining and funny but still covers the material really well. He teaches this class like a higher level course so it is difficult but, if you attend class and study you'll do fine.
