Comment:
This professor is a speed talker and his notes cover 50% of the test. Attendance is not mandatory but going to class only helps so much since he is so unclear. There are only three tests, a term paper, and a final exam to give you a grade. He isn't one professor to really help the student learn when they need it.

To sum this teacher up, try to avoid him. there are WAY better teachers for this course.Although he is very interesting to listen to and classes are great(always come to class), his exams are laughably hard. If you take him, be aware that his exams are unnecessarily difficult. content is easy and basic, but the wording is disorganized.

He's helpful, but pretty boring. His class is just three tests, a final and a paper. The paper is pretty easy. The tests are kind of rough, but if you go to class and read the book, you should be alright.

didn't click with him, didn't like him. read the chapters, took notes & came to class but still struggled with the exams. My biggest issue was the wording of the questions, they were confusing and made very little sense. I got a D, and I'm usually on the dean's list!

He keeps well on topic when it comes to information on the test. If he writes it on the board, you need to know it. It often helps if you read the chapter he is going to discuss, before that lecture, so you know what he is talking about, if he ever refers to anything.

If you want a good grade go to class, attendance isn't mandatory. Read the book and do the study guide (study guide only has book material). Term paper is difficult/ directions are unclear. Final is cumulative. Basically, in order to pass GO TO CLASS. Only grades are 3 tests, 1 term paper and cumulative final. Good luck!

Best professor I have ever had at BSU. Gives you everything you need to succeed in the class as long as you do your fair part of studying. Often lets the class out early.

Only have 3 tests and a final exam and a big term paper. Each test is made up of 50% in class material and 50% book material.

I had him for 130 and 237 and I loved him in both. He is easy to fallow, explains everything well, and gives you everything you need to succeed in the class as long as you do your part to study. He's funny and lets you out early most days, and he doesn't try to change your personal political views.

I've had him for 130 and 237. It was a repeat, sometimes word for word if you had him for both. Tests are 50/50 lecture & book. Small term paper about a legislature, pretty easy. Tries to care, but sometimes comes off as a jerk. Overall, not bad but not my favorite. He bumps grades at the end.

Great teacher. Doesn't make you read things that don't apply to the class. Easy to get an A if you study the notes and do the study guide. Let's you out of class early everyday. Make sure u get him on a TR schedule

Typical liberal college professor. His lectures are all over the place & your grade is based on 4 exams & a paper. Silver lining is he tells you EXACTLY what he wants on the paper. Also, he always lets you out 15-20 minutes early.

Dr. Crawley is an awesome Prof. It is hard to get an "A" in his class even if you study hard but you will learn. He knows his stuff.

I would never take Dr. Crawley again. He refuses to use computers or powerpoints, so you just have to listen and take notes fast. His tests were hard. I studied a lot and still didn't do well. I wouldn't suggest taking him.

I'm sooo glad I got Dr. Crawley for this class, because I heard horror stories from other people. Our final research paper only had to be 3-5 pages long, which was nice compared to other classes. He's extremely helpful and funny too

I absolutely loved this class. Only 3 tests and 1 paper so it's easy to screw up your grade, like in my case. Doesn't take attendance and gives good study guides for the tests. Always starts the class off with The Lighter Side which helps get the class up and going. I highly suggest this teacher.
