Comment:

Professor Shute's class is pretty straightforward. You have to read the chapter before coming to class and he'll just go over some powerpoint slides referring to the topics. The class is very lecture heavy and can put you to sleep. However, it's not very difficult to get an A if you read comprehensively and understand the key terms.

Richard Shute may seem like he will be a nice, straightforward professor, but in fact, he is actually rather demeaning in the way he speaks and extremely unclear with assignments. Group project is hard, and he gives feedback on stuff we weren't supposed to even cover. Tests are difficult - even studying the bold terms doesn't help as others say.

I simply didn't learn anything from him and his lectures. There were probably 2 times I ended up awake during the whole time. He just goes through the slides that aren't even in his dang tests. He simply has 4 tests including the final and they're simple questions except the book can teach you more than this professor can.

He is the most excruciatingly boring teacher you will ever experience. He is rude to the students that give wrong answers and his group project is unclear in what he wants. But there are only 3 tests and as long as you study they are incredibly simple. Just don't expect to learn anything from him.

As long as you pay attention in class and read the chapters you're fine. He randomly calls on kids in class but it's simple questions. The tests are straight from the textbook and really easy. You learn a lot and he has a great sense of humor

Shute was rough. He likes to call people out, and his lectures are dry. Like everyone said he reads right off the slides, and nothing on the slides are on the test. Study bold words in book and you'll be fine though. Most people got an A or a B, but attendance is mandatory. Bring laptop and watch netflix. Pretty easy though.

Study the bold and italicized words. Only 4 chapters per test. If you know all the bold and italicized words you'll get an A. HW isn't bad at all. Don't take notes or look at his slides when studying. I just studied the vocab from the book and got an A. Final group project is not hard either. Basic marketing. Take Shute and you'll be gucci.

Does not prepare for tests AT ALL nor does he remind you of online homework ever. Really sarcastic and makes students feel stupid. Probably the worst calss ive taken. Shute is literally horrible. Stands there and reads off his slides and clicks to the next one super fast so dont count on writing them. Calls people out even if you're paying attention and makes you feel stupid. Tests are impossible, he doesn't prepare you at all for what his tests are. Taught myself a lot. DONT TAKE

I had him for Business of Sports and it was pretty easy if you're into sports. There are about 5 or so quizzes very specific to readings, 1 group paper/presentation, and 2 exams (mid-term and final). He is pretty strict on attendance but it's not a hard class to sit through. Only homework is to do the readings but that's all.

Reads strait from slides in class which are online already but you can only miss three classes so you gotta be there which is beat. Tests are all fill in the blank so you gotta have the slides completely memorized to do well. if thats your thing then take him. not a bad guy

I liked Pr.Shute. I though he was really clear in his teaching and was approachable and nice. Test are not bad, just study the slides alot and you'll get a A. The book isn't needed at all. Group work was pretty easy.
