Comment:
Midterms and finals are take-home. Spends a lot of time in class talking about pizza, beer, and his prostate cancer. Answers questions vaguely and is generally unhelpful at all times - he prefers to give answers rather than explain a concept. His assignments are incredibly poorly worded, and often simple conventions are thrown out the window. NO.

Don't take stats with him if you can help it. He over explains simple things, and under explains really complex things that he just assumes you understand. He's not clear at all when answering questions. The wording on his assignments are confusing.

Prof would often go on random tangents about things unrelated to the class, but interesting for Econ majors. Very passionate about Econ, but not the best person to learn it from, especially at intro level. I didnt learn nearly as much as I thought I would and our midterm and final were cancelled for unknown reasons. Definitely turned me off of econ

hated the class, hated the guy. full classroom the first day, 1/4 the rest of the term. everyone fell asleep as soon as he started speaking and he always went on random tangents rather than teaching the material.

stout was AWFUL. he quizzed us on material he assumed we already knew and didn't give clear answers to students' questions. i felt helpless in his class and am sure i won't get higher than a c.
