Comment:

I took his class about 4 years ago. He was very clear, concise and easy to understand. Thank God he did not have an accent. Economics was my major and he made it very intersting, although is politcal rants were not.

I can honestly say I didn’t learn a thing. He just went on and on talking for an hour or so about nothing. He assigns these readings that are at a minimum of 50pages each that have nothing to do with the class. Overall it was really easy, however I don’t understand his grading system, theres nothing to grade yet 60% of the class received “C’s”

I liked his presentation of lectures. He tried to make economics very interesting. So I will give him credit for that. He was always dressed in suits even when it was like 90 degrees outside! I thought he was a good professor. He's an MIT graduate and was a distinguished professor @ berkeley so we should appreciate professors like him.

Easy professor. Kinda boring. Talks a lot. That's about it. Easy.. like his wife (Carter) he has in-class writing assignments but they're pretty easy. Pretty much, every thing is clear and you don't have to put much effort into this class, just do the weekly writings and you'll be fine.

Comment:

Kept the political rhetoric to a minimum. All notes were online, Aplia homework was a pain, and the book is useless. Class curved pretty well, tests and midterms were not hard at all. Had an extra test at the final to replace poor midterm grades. Overall pretty good, a little on the boring side, but hey, that's introductory Economics.

The point of every lecture was to say, "This is why Democrats are God and Republicans are the Devil." Very annoying. But if you can get past that, just regurgitate his opinions on the tests and you'll get an A.

Talk about a major SNOOZEFEST. This guy is incredibly boring. His tests r essay response, weird for an econ class in my opinion. I pretty much didn't go to class after the first midterm and i still got an A because of his incredibly generous curve. I pretty much went into the final cold as well.

great prof. though he may be boring, he curves...A LOT. the hw is annoying sometimes but it helps you understand the material better. midterms/final are essay questions so it's easy to bs the entire thing and still do well. i'd definately recommend this guy. wait around for him if you can.

Boring teacher, he repeats everything in lecture. Good thing is he puts all the slides he uses in class online. I didn't even go to class after a while. I just read through the slides and skimmed the book, and I got an A in the class! Oh, and I BSed the midterm and final. They loved it.

CONSERVITIVES BEWARE this teacher is VERY LIBERAL he biases his info towards the left no matter what the subject matter. he wants you to tell him HIS OWN view points back at him for the tests. never gives both sides of the story, the class is easy but online hw is a big part of your grade.

Sutch has great pp notes and he always posts them online. His TAs are pretty stupid and they grade really hard. There is really no curve and he's not very helpful during office hours. He's also very democratic when it comes to teaching because there are racial slurps about Bush and other republicans

The course is pretty easy. If you miss class, dont have a heart attack. All lecture slides are on iLearn. Test are pure logic and reasoning. As long as you state your answers logically, you will be fine. There are some tricky question s on the test, so read carefully. Test are primarily of PPS

he gives out pretty good lectures, however his homework online can be quiet confusing at times. And he's not helpful AT ALL when I went to him for questions. But luckly his tests are fair.
