Read the textbook, the questions on the exam reflect the questions at the end of each chapter; do them and you will do well on the exams. He is a nice guy and he wants you to do well. Ecology isn't an easy subject. study hard, read the textbook, and come to class and you will do fine.

Nice enough guy. Provides no insight as to what will be on exams. Advice is to READ and be prepared for essay exams on any topic from all chapters covered - this amounts to about 200+ pages info per exam. Impossible if you have other difficult math/science classes. the class average was a 30 out of 90. Oh and hes horrible for lab.

I had Veit for four bio courses. Veit gives essay exams. You must understand the material and not simply memorize everything. He is very approachable during office hours and will help you with any questions. An A is definitely doable.

Has a very peculiar way of teachinggrading. Only advice he gives you is to READ the textbook. You have to be a mind reader to know what answers he is looking for on tests. Students have similar answers yet they are graded totally differently. Avoid taking his class unless you wanna play russian roulette with your grade.

I didn't do to well on the first two tests so I went to his office hours. This professor argued with me NOT drop his class because I had a chance to get a good grade. I received my final grade at the end of the semester and it was an F. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. Take the class next semester if you have to.

Tells the entire class not to drop the course after the first test. Then gives the second test AFTER the drop deadline and gives Cs, Ds, and even Fs to the class. His tests are all short answer and grades subjectively off of his own opinions. Do not take this professor.

Average professor. Not easy at all. Pay attention to the lectures, and READ THE TEXTBOOK. I cannot stress this enough. His classes were interesting sometimes. He has a huge curve, he said a 70 is an A, so it's very possible to get an A. Just make sure you read the textbook and understand everything

He is knows his stuff. He has a interesting personality. I liked his section because he asked so many good questions, not like chamberlain who just wants you to freaking memorize everything in detail. He stresses to understand the concept rather them memorize and forget again later. Excellent Prof.

Pretty kooky guy, I think hes in charge of biology. He knows his stuff, he taught most of the ecology stuff for the lectuer but chamberlin taught most of the rest. He would lose his train of thought at times but he gave good examples to help explain things and his essay quizzes were better than the ones we got from the other profs.
