LOVE Richard! He is a great ceramics teacher. In the beginning of class he lectures, then you can work on your project. Takes attendance. He is very helpful but also has to teach 40 students at one time so if you need help just ask a friendly classmate, the Ceramic 2 & 3 kids love to help and give opinions. Richard is great and teaches variation!

Very supportive of creativity. Gives individual attention. demonstrates techniques multiple times and watches you do it. Loves enthusiasm and thus allows you to show up for wheel work during handbuilding class and vice versa. This class is not about techniques but also about art and creativity. My only complain is the loud music.

He's a very good teacher. A bit eccentric, but more the fun to watch because of it. Is full of information, willing to share more than mandatory if you're willing to ask. Very laid back, unless people haven't been cleaning up. Great instructor, I defiantly recommend him. The grade is on effort and fulfilling the assignments, not on beauty.

This is an amazing instructor. Richie can sit across from a student to correct and instruct. Beginners come away with a strong sense of accomplishment. Only one con - music is loud and tends to favor younger students in the class who do not understand not everyone enjoys the same music, or volume level.

RW xcelent instruct/artist; helps begin./adv. stdts. In summer, adv. AND begin. stdts in same class; adv. stdts.DO pay for class and are there for serious study/work sometimes grad school - not for fun or ez grade; 90% of inst. time given to begin.; 10% to adv. stdts. Also, there are older stdts in class who are beginners too.

Neat guy, but very lax, and not much 1 on 1 attention. Many older women students not even enrolled in beg. class use facilities and tend to bully beg. students. Makes a tense atmosphere. When I pay for a class, it's my time, not time for advanced students to take up our space and teachers time. I really like him, but hard to get any help/attention.

Rich White is an Artist. He is incredibly talented - definitely a guy who sucks the marrow out of life. He is quite the experienced ceramicist which is noteworthy because there are a lot of half-assed ceramic educators out there. Rich is not one of them. He's Rockabilly, he's Jazzman, he's Punk, but most of all he is a sincere, excellent teacher.
