Cannot believe that he is allowed to teach. Just goes over homework and never really explains the work he puts on the board. Everyone does poorly in the class. A 55% was a C. Curves generously because everyone ends up with a F percentage wise. No HW, just 4 tests. Wollmer should be a last resort for IS 301.

this class is SELF-TEACH. VERY nice man but doesn't answer your questions. attendence not mandatory but it will help. the curve really helps because mostly everyone does horrible

This class will be tough no matter who you take it with. This guy wasnt bad..if you do the homework and keep up with the material..the tests are easy and the curve is VERY generous. Dont fall behind in this class!

This class is a very tough. Alot of materials to understand. The teacher does not explain while teaches. Only writes the material on boad and then asks if there are any question. Read the text and do the HW. There is a HW Guidline available for the book at the library. The book only has the answers in the back but this Guidline shows you the work=)

At first the material might seem tough but when you near the end of the semester and look back at your old tests you will wonder how you missed such easy questions. GO TO CLASS & DON'T SLACK OFF and you will be fine. Other comments are fairly accurate.

this guy is no help i did better studying myself he gives a 9 question final from 15 chapters and each chapter has about 3 sections. That sucks

TOUGH CLASS, and wollmer doesnt make it any easier, although he does provide help during class and office hours..but material is way too tough. open book open everything..but do the hw problems and ask questions if you're stuck..the material only gets harder. he does curve..ALOT..so that MIGHT help, but i wouldnt count on it... good luck

This subject is hard in itself. Wollmer tries his best to relay the material to his students the best he can. The exams are all problem questions and no one ever finishes on time. He does curve alot. He does not take roll..but it is helpful to be in class for his lecture and notes.

A very tough class. He gives open book/notes tests, but the test questions are a leap from the lecture material. Find someone with last semester's exams and you'll be much happier. He curves well, but this is not a class that you'll coast through.

The only thing that kept me alive through this class were the open book exams in concert with copies of the test from previous students. Thats the only thing. I don't remember a damn thing from this class exept that. Team up with your friends that took this guy already.

its a hard class if you dont study on your own-his lectures are hard to understand, although he will go over any questions from the homework. the tests are open book open notes. he curves a lot so its not hard to get a passing grade. he was always available at the office hours, a nice man.
