Great Prof! Experienced and a good teacher. he conducts class in a practical way and you leave learning the material. The TA conduct the LAB with little to no supervision. some labs were 3 min long which is sad since the course is meant to get you familiar with NX. would prob do it again.

Professor Zarda is such a nice guy! he's funny, and he is a great teacher. CAD/CAM was a very easy class and I got an A but it is tedious and annoying at times. The project was very tedious but if you follow the TAs they are not difficult, and the exams were extremely annoying and long but not difficult. I definitely recommend this class!

Finally! A professor with loads of experience that can convey the material. You know he knows his stuff and by the end, you will too. Tests aren't a walk in the park, but at this level which ones are? This is stuff we will actually use, so take him!

Dude is a sweetheart. He tries to teach you everything you need to know; and everything he assigns you, which is a section per week, is basically the Exam Material. No surprises, decent amount of course work. DO the Work and guarantee B at minimum.

Good teacher. Gives a copy of notes at start of semester. homeworks dont have tricks but are somewhat hard. Test was half multiple choice. Class is half 3d modeling and half matrix algebra (stiffness matrixes). Neither of which are terrible. Great overall class - no Stress!

Overall one of my favorite professors due to the fact that hes still an employed engineer, so he knows what you need to know to do well in the engineering world. On top of that hes clear, respectful, and even funny at times. The book is his handwritten notes that he provides for free download.

Cool guy, definitely knows what hes doing. Projects worth same as exams, if you know how to listen and do the weekly Homeworks its an EASY B. The text book is hand written but is provided for free in PDF format, and its pretty useful.

homeworks which he gets you started on in class , tests are long but not very difficult, the two projects take a long time but are essentially test grades and huge grade boosters. Very smart and you will learn a lot if you do the work

Zarda is very helpful; he will come to campus on the weekends and evenings to help students out. The class is not that hard, it is 50% learning a software package and 50% understanding FEM theory. Also, he hands out his own (handwritten) book, so no need to buy one!

A pointless class with a useless handwritten textbook and instructor. Lectures are point-and-tell. Project are done in the lab which the TA make it up as they go. "we are human, we all have attitude" I want my money back

Professor Zarda uses a book that he writes himself....LITERALLY HAND WRITTEN. Dr. Zarda is smart, however he has zero common sense, and software used was absolutely useless. Nobody uses IDEAS in reality, except LOCKHEED, and they are about as useless as Zarda. One positive was his amazing hair where I am pretty sure birds lived.

Great prof, knows what he's talking about. Software we used BLOWS and is from the 80's. There's no undo function so if you mess up you're screwed. Mid and final projects are worth a lot so take your time on those. Very flexible prof and is willing to help out when needed. He works full time and still has a very good and organized class.

The class itself is pointless and presented poorly. If it weren't for the project, I could have been given the text and learned everything myself. However, the project (mid and final) are worth a lot of points and require just as much effort- so put time into it! Zarda was one of the most helpful profs I've ever met when it comes to assisting stude

He knows his stuff backwards and forwards and is great at explaining concepts. No textbook required, so that's a plus. He has real world experience so you'll really learn what does and doesn't work. The software UCF uses for the class is horrible, but he'll teach you tricks to get around that.

Dr Zarda is great. No other professor at UCF has helped me so much. Tests are long, but that means that missing a couple questions won't wreck your grade. Put a lot of effort into your project and you will most likely get an A.

Tests are relatively hard (and take forever), the projects require a ton of work, and the homework tends to be more trouble than it's worth. Despite this, Zarda is willing to come after hours to help students, gives out his cell #, and teaches what needs to be taught. I wish he taught more classes.

Zarda is a great professor with a very genuine interest in teaching. One of the best if not the best Mechanical Engr. professors. The class is tedious, but its worth it.
