This is the second time Ive taken a course with Professor Morton. Magazine Writing mainly consists of weekly discussion posts based off assigned readings, making up 3 posts of interesting things you read that week, plus 2 posts replying to other students posts. In between, you write 2 articles, and end the semester writing a reflection paper!

Easy class, weekly discussions (3 posts) case assignments which he gives you weeks to complete. No exams .Easiest college class. He does have his ways where he wants you to post questions on the discussion board so everyone can see, that can get annoying but still, Easy A. Advice though- GET AHEAD. If you get ahead by a few chapters, will be OKAY

Mr. Morton is a great professor. This class was very easy to pass. Each week we had to read a chapter, make 3 discussion posts, and respond to 2 other discussion posts. We also had to write 2 articles, which were easily graded. The final is a 500 word essay about what you learned in the class. Again, very easy to pass and get a 100% in the class.

Prof Morton is very caring towards his students and cheers everyone on to be published. This course involves weekly discussions (3 posts and 2 responses) that are based on the book chapters. Two articles to be written (1500 words or more) and a final, short reflection paper. I left the class with 100% and a published article.

This is a nice online class, but you still have to work for it. Overall it is not too hard, but not too easy. Gives descent feedback on case assignment and we do 2 chapter discussion per week. Overall nice.

You need the textbook because all you do is do three discussion posts per chapter (28 chapters). There's also three small projects and a short essay as the final exam. Beyond easy, but very annoying as it's incredibly tedious to do that many discussion posts. Get ready to BS your way through. I got exactly 100% in the class, no extra credit.

He gives a lot of work. Major courses give less work than him. I had to email him to verify why there is no feedback or comment on my disc posts especially when he had deducted points. He only gave feedback on case assignments but not very clear to what he want until he have graded assignments. I appreciate somethings he do but wouldn't take again

I was really excited for this class. If you think you're gonna make magazine like articles the entire semester, this isn't the class for you. That's what I expected, however, there were discussions from the textbook and only 2 articles. He does expect that you get the articles published, however, it is not a requirement for passing. He's awesome.

If you fail this class, it would 100% be your fault. Morton's courses are the easiest I have ever taken. I have almost 100% in the course. Yes, you have a discussion post for each chapter, but you can literally do it in 30 minutes (around 4 paragraphs a chapter). It's a writing class so you will write" a lot". The textbook has great info too.

Mr. Morton is a great professor. Most of the class is discussion posts on the chapters in the text book. Gives great feedback before projects are due so there is no way to fail this class. I would love to take him again!

Professor Morton is one of the kindest, most willing-to-help professors you will ever meet. His class was one of the easiest I have ever taken, but yet absolutely enriching and I learned so much more than I ever thought I would about magazine writing. There are discussion posts due each week, and two articles, but don't sweat it one bit! AMAZING!

Loved this class, wish I would have bought the book vs. rented. Very interesting, Lots of Fun projects to use your creativity. Give the chance for ALOT of feedback on projects so you can perfect them, VERY helpful. Got 100% in the class.

The course is simple and easy, but by no means fun or interesting. Tons of busy work. 2 lengthy posts + a lengthy reply to another student's post for each chapter. So 3 posts per chapter and occasional Case Assignment/project. The readings are repetitive and overall pointless. Easy A. You don't have to really read everything to make your posts.

The class is easy, though a decent amount of work and reading. You do need the textbook, as the assignments are from it. He constantly wants us to post drafts, but his draft feedback is generally unhelpful and his design sense is from the 1990s, so don't take it personally.

It's a shame ENC 3310 was online, because I would've loved to hear Prof. Morton lecture. He's nice, helpful and genuinely cares about each student with quick responses to any questions. You'll learn a lot from the text, too. The final article was the most fun because it's open to you and what YOU want to write about. You may even get published.
