RIck Madigan is the man! He is a funny guy with a lot of experience in life that he relays in the classroom. He always knows how to make his class laugh and keep them engaged with what they are reading. He is the Bob Ross of English, for he always has a smile on his face and puts smiles on his students faces. I would highly suggest taking him.

Caring old man, he loves what he teaches and is so excited about it. Extra credit is given, so take advantage, his class is easy and he is very helpful. Missed class a few times and it did not affect me, but do not take advantage of not going

My favorite professor of the semester. As long as you do all the writing assignments, you'll probably get an A. The classes are so easygoing and laid back, all we really do is read each other's work and give feedback on it. Occasionally we'll read out of the textbook for examples. Bottom line, Madigan is awesome, definitely take him.

Professor Madigan is an absolute sweetheart. He is a great teacher, he cares so much about his students and always makes time for you. He does things on your time, you never feel rushed. I loved him. Easiest class. He was great. Every teacher should try to be more like him.

By far my easiest class of the semester. Professor Madigan is one of the nicest teachers ever. He is extremely helpful. Doesn't assign a lot of work and he gives you a lot of time to write your essays (which are never hard or long to write). I definitely recommend this teacher to anyone going to take English composition.

Madigan is by far my favorite professor at ESU. He is smart and helpful. My daughter loves poetry and he even gave her a book, she is eight, so Madigan is her favorite ESU professor too. He is clear on his expectaions. All around great guy.

First of all, he has a Cobain poster as well as an Obama O8 sticker on his office door. These two detail alone should give you an idea of how cool and liberal this man is. He loves the subject and loves music. He is the man. Take him if you need English Comp 103, I'm very glad I took him for that class. Easy going on due dates too.

Absolutely adorable man. His favorite phrase: "If you don't chime in here, I'll talk your ear off." He wants you to contribute to poetic discussions, because it's his passion. He grades fairly and usually pushes back paper deadlines. Great teacher, very helpful.

Great teacher... To whoever said he doesn't teach, and that he just talks: He is an English professor, not a history professor. At the college level, your grammatical knowledge is assumed. He analyzes works and guides you in your analysis of them while having you write a couple essays on the side; that is his job, and he does it very well. If you need somebody to teach you the intricacies of the language you have been speaking throughout your entire life, go back to high school.
