He is one of the least helpful teachers I have ever had. He also cannot focus on the topic at hand so he teaches very little information. I later learned that he is retiring at the end of the year so I guess he was not giving his best effort.

mmkay, Coughlin isnt a bad guy, just dont be a smart ass or he'll be a jackass to you. Other than that he's a pretty reasonable prof. that overestimates his abilities as a golfer.

Jim is a really good guy who has been teaching for a long time. He won't take any crap from any student so don't bother back talking or messing around in his class. If you are seriously there to learn and actually try, he will be very helpful. Learn to take criticism and learn quickly because you will get it. dont argue and you will learn.

Jim coughlin talks to much about the "Strategic" and "tactical" descision. He uses to much theory and cannot relate it back to practical application, for example his one job at Quaker. I find him to be very pompus and arrogrant, and his classes are not the ones I look forward to going to!

He expects a lot from his students. He wants everyone to be as cool as he is. Number 1! He hates being last. His voice reminds me of Mr. Mackey from South Park ('mmmm-kay'). Dont EVER use 'um' or 'uh' in orals or just talking to him or he'll degrade you.
