I'm five years out and I still remember these classes. He is a fair teacher. Be prepared to do the work every other night and show up to every class. It' not an easy A, but it's worth every bit of efforts once grades are behind you.

Interesting guy, very...awkward, to say the least. But overall very nice, loves his topic, gives lots of examples, uses the normal philosophic language so it can definitely be a bit difficult to follow.

Good professor, good guy. Teaching methods are very Socratic. You'll walk away from the class with a lot no matter what your major is. You'll have some writings assigned, but if you do what he's asking you to do you'll find your ability to reason and think improves significantly.

I took a sr. seminar with professor Momeyer and was awed by the thought-provoking discussions and array of reading assignments. He wants you to think and be compassionate--one of the best on campus. Also, with a history of civil rights work, he's a real legend.

I took his class as part of my capstone and loathed it. It requires daily journaling re: your own demise. He's negative, pessimistic and contemptuous. I thought his class was really hard. I went to his office at the end of the sem. and he left me with, "Have a nice life, such as it is." Booh.

I thought he explained things well, so the class was not that difficult, but he seems narrow minded. doesnt really seem understand how anyone could disagree with him, or how anyone can think its plausable that god exists.

Not a terrible grader but not a very good teacher, either. Understanding when it comes to workload and grades but narrow minded when it comes to philosophy and anyone who disagrees should be careful...

Don't take him if you enjoy having a postive outlook on religion, politics, or life. Don't take him if you want to remain happy in general.
