Comment:

Very good clear professor. Lectures remind me of old-school British lectures, but he surprised you with a little spunk every so often. I LOVE Geography to begin with, and although he was not the most interesting lecturer in the world, he still taught me a lot and stimulated my love for Geography. His class is definately worth taking.

I took Eric's Geographic Analysis course way back in the early 1980's. To do this day I still find myself referring to my notes from that class. Excellent Analytic techniques. One of the best professors when I was in school.

This guy is extremely intelligent and from what I hear pretty famous in the world of geography. I actually enjoyed his lectures even though I just took the class as an elective. But whatever you do, DO NOT play sudoku or do other homework in his class! I haven't had his class for over a year and still remember many things he taught.

This guy is on the cutting edge of the field of geography. Things can be difficult, but that is because of the concepts and subjectmatter, not the instructor who does a very good job explaining things. If you want someone to really open your eyes to the complex interactions going on in the world, economically and politically, take his courses!

Eric gave brilliant lectures; his exams are hard, but the grading curve can save you; just write good papers and be very detailed on the blue books. also, if you have a problem be sure to communicate it to him in advance, it's very possible to negotiate with him.
