Ive heard hes great for in class. His online class was pretty hard if you have never taken econ. he uses these weird animations that are just so ungodly boring to watch. you were allowed 2 hours for the online quizzes and i found myself always using the whole 2 hours because they were difficult. Very graph heavy course.

Best teacher/professor I've ever had. Knows the subject thoroughly to put it lightly. Energetic and definitely not dull. Translates somewhat thick subject matter simply and clearly as possible. Straight forward and fair. I often look forward to going to class.

Great guy, Professor Nelson was one of my favorite professors at LCC. He made lectures interesting and enjoyable to sit through. I was trying to take his Macro class as well but it got cancelled due to low enrollment. Highly recommend!!!

I took his class online. I'm usually a solid A student. Actually his class was the first B I've gotten since elementary school. I always felt like he was fair. I missed a discussion post deadline and he let me complete it for credit anyways. He is a little old school with his videos and he uses shockwave presentations from 1997 which made me laugh.

He is one of the best teachers I have ever had especially for Econ. He is a little intimidating at first but he has great lectures and makes sure you understand everything. Quizzes are open note and you can help each other. Tests are alone but he gives you great notes and plenty of tools to study with! I would take him again if i could!

You have to take his class to understand how he is. I didn't like it b/c the Hybrid class involved learning through terrible you tube videos, and "animations". He is "out-there" with his teaching but even though I thought he was kind of weird, when you have a 1 on 1 discussion with him he is serious about making sure you are learning the material.

Professor Nelson is my favorite professor I'v ever had. He has sense of humor and is hilarious sometimes. I am super comfortable with his teaching style-apply to economic theories by using examples. Professor is always patient answering my questions. Attendance is not required, but if you would like to pursue a better grade, pls show up every time.

Best professor I've ever had. Show up on time, Read everything on d2l, review his homework assignments/in class quizzes and you will be fine. He's really funny and he sets you up for success. I took this class while attending MSU and it was the best decision i've ever made. If you make a bunch of flashcards you will pass with flying colors!

He is very good at explaining the material. Also, he is helpful and willing to allow you to work around your schedule if need be. The only thing that wasn't my favorite is that he would sometimes put a trick question on quizzes or tests.

Taking this online and during the summer was personally not a good idea for me. A lot of information is packed into a short period of time. The lectures are interactive which is helpful. Assignments and quizzes due weekly. The final exam is over all the material learned during the semester. Only take this class if you have time to spend on it.

Very funny, he likes to hit the whiteboard really hard when trying to make a point and usually hurts his hand in the process. Very clear and interesting to listen to in lecture (sometimes he even gives you candy.) Assignments and quizzes after each unit (12 units.) Quizzes are open book and open to discussion with peers.

He's a great guy and tries to make economics as easy to understand as possible. There are 2 tests, 1 midterm, 1 final, 12 open book quizzes and 12 assignments and and end of the semester writing assignment. If you have any questions he will help you until you understand. Make sure you show up to class on time!

Great guy, class moves at a perfect pace and the information covered in the previous class is always reviewed briefly prior to lecture. Always goes into an in depth example and takes you step by step when doing economic concepts, varies methods of teaching, some involving student volunteers and surveys and then econ concepts with student data.

I did the worse I have ever done when I took this class. The book was useless, the animated videos posted were long and boring, didn't receive a lot of feedback from this professor, although he did offer to meet with me but its hard when you work a fulltime job from 8-5. Not all his fault that I didn't do well though.

Rick is an awesome professor! He's hilarious and explains everything so clearly that you would have to try to not get a 4.0. Showing up to class is mandatory because he gives quizzes and worksheets that must be turned in weekly. Do not get the text book though! You will not use it. Show up, study hard for exams and you will succeed in his class!
