Professor Proctor is a nice guy, but his test are difficult. You get a blue book and basically write 5 to 6 pages. He wants you to do well, but his lectures are confusing. He just writes a few words on the bored and it's hard to follow the print outs.

He was a great professor and I would really recommend taking him. He's strict but is a straight-forward and knowledgeable professor. Assigns a fair amount of work and wants students to succeed. Really enjoyed his class.

One of the great professors at Siena. I graduated in 2000, and he was one of the professors that most prepared me for the workforce. He's very approachable, is passionate about finance, and wants you to learn.

Personal finance is definately one of the most interesting classes I've taken at Siena. Dr. Proctor is a great teacher and is extremely enthusiastic about this subject, which makes the class great. He's very helpful. He gives studyguides for all the tests and attendence is not mandatory. I would recommend this class to anyone!

Professor Proctor is a FANTASTIC guy. Although finance isn't the most interesting subject, he is extremely approachable, always willing to help (even gives you his phone number when you need help and he's not on campus). He gives a study guide for each exam that outlines exactly what will be on the test and there are never any surprises. Great guy!

I liked the class, he makes you buy the wallstreet journal and asigns projects from it but they are fairly simple and are mostly their to imporve your grade. Tests are all short answer so you must be on key when taking them. Class is not mandatory, notes are e-mailed before class so u know what is going to be covered.

Not a bad class, but has totally unfair rules. Harsh grader, and totally enjoys the small amount of power he gets as a teacher and will exploit it to its maximum. Hes always right your always wrong says course is a supp to be as real word oriented as possible, but that's only true when he can use it as an excuse to lower your grade.

I would suggest anyone to take this course with Rick Proctor. Honestly, I had a F at midterm and still managed to finish the course with a A. Just know the notes, go to class and go to his office hours. You will be fine.

Greatest. Teacher. Ever. Make sure you know your notes backward and forward since book is rarely used. Tests are all short essay but just regurgitate notes and youll be fine, using his exact wording gets you bonus points. Keep an eye out for funny pronunciations of words such as "whhhhut" and "mebee". Great guy, too.

You’re going to definitely what sign up for any class this man teaches. He is not a hard @ss and that is really hard to find at Siena. The only reason people would give him a bad rating is because they are retarded.

Tests are short answer/essay type of questions. Answers must be very detailed he takes off 1 or 2 pts per question just when you think you've answered it correctly. No quizzes or hw.

I really liked him. He wants his students to do well and goes over everything that he will test you on. He gives review packets before exams. I had to study alot for exams but it was worth it. I learned a lot and enjoyed being in class. Don't show up late to class, he gets really pissed off!

He gives you a note packet and tells you what to study before the test. His projects are challenging but he gives you all the information. There is nothing you need to "teach yourself" in his class.
