He take his class seriously, but easy to manage Professor. Straight to the point and very clear. Vast experience. Helpful and respectful, sometimes sarcastic and funny. Loves his students, although, apparently doesn't show that, he good take care of them. No homework, very helpful grammar software " Guess What." Expect quizzes. I really liked it.

If you want to pass ESL 99 take this class. Software ( guess what ) is really helpful. Book we used is clear and you have there everything you need to know. He really knows what he's saying, gives good examples, explains clearly. What's the most important - there are no homeworks usually. If there are any - it's easy :)

Prof. Shur seemed to be not easy going at the begining, but gradually he let us know him from his better side. If you work hard and do all his homework, he don't make problems. His assignments were very helpful in improving my grammar and punctation. Right now, I don't have problems with writing.I got an A.

He is good teacher.He has his own teaching strategies that seem to be weird for some of the students, but if you fallow his directions and work as he teaches you then you will not have a problem to write your final exam. He doesn't give you homework.He focus on grammar a lot.I took his class during 6 week session, and I passed the final easily!

He's a genius, he will tell you how to pass the Final Essay which will be check by the English Department. If you listen to him, and you do the practice for writing an Essay in final then you'll pass this course with good grade. He doesn't give HW's. He has his own perfect evaluating and teaching system, so you never doubt his teaching style, technique or whatever. Just put your trust and follow. You will know all at the end, or maybe in the middle if you are quick enough. He looks cold, but cares his students with all of his heart. Very intelligent and informative instructor. Simply an art!
