His classes are super laid back, and an easy A if you actually try. During critiques participation is necessary to get a good grade. He lets you take breaks whenever you wish to do so, and he is helpful when having questions about the projects. Once you get in the groove of printing works and understanding how to do so, it becomes natural and easy.

This professor is charming and fun to be around when he is in a good mood. That being said, he is very knowledgeable but I have yet to see this side of him. He is not helpful at all. Everything I've learned in his classes I learned on my own. His passion for teaching seems to be gone. I would not recommend taking him.

Awesome professor. yes he may be confusing and have ridiculous deadlines and most of the time i was confused and didn't know what was going on, but the class is enjoyable and hes very knowledgeable. Just be on his good side and you'll do just fine, laugh at his jokes and be friendly and you will do just fine

The thing about Rimer is that people recognize that he's nice, and he is, but that's about all he has going for him. He is a professional artist, and very good, but in no way is his experience really applied in class. Non-communicative, abusive, patronizing...a lot of the majors have a love hate relationship with him. But mostly hate.

This guy's ego is out of control and half the time he is late or doesn't even bother to come to class at all. when he is there he uasually just sits in his office or just gets frustrated with students and yells. some people say he's a nice enough guy but i don't even see that.

All I needed was his signature for something. I had to track him down for 3 weeks, leaving messages and notes. When he finally saw me he was rude, dismissive, and arrogant. I hear he is very knowledgable in Printmaking, but if you're not a nice person who wants to take your class anyway
