Comment:
I've had McGregor 3 times now. The only reason I took him for this class is that I really wanted to take Econometrics II and he was the only professor. He is dry, boring, incredibly smart, but an awful TEACHER.

Comment:
McGregor was a great professor. Only grades in the class are 10 online homework assignments (1% each), 3 tests(20% each), and cumulative final(30%). Attendance was not mandatory, although he does not utilize Canvas at all, so no where for you to access notes if you don't attend class. Lectures tend to be a bit boring. Would definitely take again.

Rob Roy is seriously one of the best in the ECON department. He is super knowledgeable on the federal reserve, and inspires many to pursue graduate school. Problem sets and exam almost identical. Will take work, but an A is very do-able.

Professor McGregor is awesome. He grades very reasonably. I highly recommend that you take his class versus the other economics professors if you can help it.

he canceled the first two classes of the semester. taught his version of the material and tested the books version of the material. Average on the first test was 55ish he curved it. If you do take his class ONLY study the homework/Myeconlab the tests are straight from those problems. He is super boring like extremely boring.

Professor McGregor is real good at taking the complex macro federal reserve stuff and breaking it down I really liked him and his exams are very fair and easy As if you do the homeworks. Good guy

The exams are extremely difficult and he always seems surprised by the grades. If you don't read the textbook and work through all of the chapter exercises, you won't pass. The final exam is cumulative but he won't give you any idea of what to study. He didn't even have a Moodle or Canvas site so you don't really ever know your grade.

He is an amazing professor and an overall great person. Expect weekly quizzes, but they are very helpful for the tests. He always stops to make sure everyone can understand and hear him clearly. Great guy, great professor. Definitely recommend him! Btw, you won't need the textbook for this class. All quizzes and tests come mainly from his lectures.

I found this class extremely easy; however, some of my friends struggled. Be prepared to fall asleep just about every lecture. He has quizzes every other class on the material from the previous class, so attendance is crucial. The questions on the test are taken word for word from the quizzes, and the final is just all three tests. Just review.

10 quizzes worth 10% of your grade and 3 tests worth 20% each and the final is worth 30%. If you do poorly on the quizzes just study them because the tests are pretty much verbatim. I never spent more than 20 minutes taking a test. He says you need a book but his lectures are straight out of it so I wouldn't bother, great professor though

He is a good professor. His teaching style can be a little bit boring though. He often stands in front of the class and reads off of a piece of paper.

I am not sure if the class has changed, but it is definatly not an easy A. I am an Econ major and still found this class challenging. His tests are multiple choice and short answer so you really have to know your stuff to do well on them. The short answer questions are directly from problem sets he hands out and goes over in class. good prof.

Money and Banking class is very boring. McGregor is slow and monotone...everyone falls asleep. Tests are MC and short answer. Short andswer questions on test come straight from the problem set he passes out and goes over. Not a good teacher.

Good prof. Go to class, understand the concepts, and you'll do fine. He provides a lot of details sometimes, but you don't want to get too caught up in those for the exam. It's what you take from the details that matters.
