I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Doc's 126 course. This was actually my favorite class of the semester. Sure, if you put a half-ass effort, you're going to get grades that reflect it. Personally I wouldn't consider myself a star student and I thought the course load was well within fair, maybe even say on the easier side. Really interesting lectures

I just DO NOT like this professor. He really rubs me the wrong way. This class is mainly lecture. Goes over facts/names way too fast and when he spells the name out he does it so fast you don't even get a chance to remember what he just said. If you have a question he kinda just blows over it. The facts he gives doesn't seem accurate either.

I truly believe that at the end of this class you will leave with knowledge gained. I ended the class with a C but still feel I took a lot out of this class and enjoyed the material. Large class formats are not good for me but I still in my eyes succeeded. If you take the time to read the book and take proper notes of the lectures you will succeed.

Attendance is not mandatory but if you miss one class you have no reference for gettting those notes. He does not use a PowerPoint to help guide you grouch lectures, the microphone usually is not loudness enough and I didn't sit far back at all. He talks way to fast and mumbled it is almost impossible to get all necessary notes or key names.

Excellent professor. I took the class online over Winter Break and he was phenomenal. Course was designed perfectly for the time given. He responded to e-mails normally within an hour or so. Lectures were interesting. Course requirements were clear. Textbook is necessary to pass class. Wonderful professor who knows his stuff & works with students!

Rob is a great professor if you pay attention. I've had him for several CMST classes and the only one I really struggled wih was Mass Media, because I never went. Attendance is important in his classes because he lectures basically every class. Don't miss a class because you'll be lost for the semester. He's great with extra help if you need it.

Professor McKenzie seems to be a nice guy but mass media is really hard. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you miss a class you're pretty much screwed. The good news is he curves tests, trust me you're going to need it.

Dr. Mckenzie is really nice and a good professor but mass media is a really tough class. You don't have to go to class but the tests are very challenging so you have to read the book to pass.

he's an okay professor. Had him for Mass media. Sometimes he changes up the material in his lectures, but i guess it's to better understand it. The tests were hard and the material he'd say just didn't seem to add up. Its alright.........

This class is a hard class, but Professor McKenzie states very clearly that you will fail if you do not read the textbook. It seems that a lot of people in my class did not take that advice and failed the course and now hold a grudge. Despite this, it was a fun and interesting class with unique but useful content and he was a nice guy.

Intro to Mass Media was hard. Over 200 people in the class and just 3 tests. I read all the chapters and made notecards and came to class everyday and still got B by the skin of my teeth with a curve.

I've had Rob twice prior to this class in upper level courses and I loved him. He's a great teacher, but Mass Media was personally tough. It was 200 people in the course and had just three exams, which were difficult. He gave some trivial extra credit, but not much. He's a great guy and prof, but this class was tough (and I went to every class).

Best teacher I had this semester! His lectures are fun and interesting. He knows how to relate to college students and his very clear about what he teaches, which you can follow and find in his book. His tests are EXACTLY what he lectures. Loved him!

I was really scared to take a public speaking class, I'm not good in front of a crowd, but i loved this class! He's a great teacher, he makes all assignments clear. I looked forward to going to this class, he's actually interesting to listen to. Quizes are easy, he grades fairly. Very helpful and nice. Take his class if you can!

Rob is a great guy, but only an okay teacher. He has an absurd grading system and a tendency to put too much emphasis on trivial things while glossing over significant ones. He also talks about himself constantly. If you take him you'll like him, but if you take someone else, you'll learn more.

One of the most intelligent yet awesome teachers at esu. He has a voice that will keep you entertained and also awake. He will go out of his way to help explain anything you do not understand. Nice teacher and the class was not that hard. You had to read the chapters to understand and do well, but overall an excellent class!
