Initially I wasn't a fan of Dr. Ronald, but at the end of the semester I had a lot of respect for him. He appreciates when his students actually try to understand the material and work hard to get a good grade. Homework is easy a provides a small buffer. He drops exams grades if you show improvement throughout the semester. Overall great prof.

I got a 50% on the first test but still got an A- in the class. Obviously the class is hard, but it is doable. Show up to class/lab, do the hw, attempt his in class questions and go to his office hours with your attempted answers and he will be nice to your grade. He notices effort. He is ambiguous. Takes tests from the slides practice problems.

He is so helpful but will wait till last 5 weeks to give you 5 homeworks if you got o his office hour he will help you.. lab is worth 50% which makes 35% of your grade is dependent on you final lab report which is bs and takes months to do smh

Easily the hardest class I've taken here at WSU. Professor Ronald doesn't do anything but read off his slides and is uninterested in teaching. I have tried so hard in this class and I am still not passing. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!

Ugh, this was not a fun class... organic chem is hard to teach for anyone, but Dr. Ronald is not a great professor in my opinion! His lectures are very boring. However, he puts a lot of his quiz questions on the test... so study those! You also have the opportunity to earn 25 extra credit points! Study hard and you'll do fine.

He obviously teaches as though you should know more about organic chemistry than you probably do, since it is only an introduction class. So be prepared for a rough semester because he is a horrible professor to have to learn from.

I don't know why people say he's terrible. If you have Q's that's what office hours are for, he's just trying to cover the material in the amount of time given. I loved the class and his funny stories. He posts lecture slides online, study guides every week and the exams are very similar to the quiz's. On top of anatomy, this class saved my GPA

Ronalds lectures from slides posted on Angel almost word for word, except when he goes on anecdotal tangents. There are an inordinate amount of slides, and for exams, he wants you to know minute details, not overarching themes. Word of advice: Take Chem 105 instead. You'll learn much more. If you decide to take this class, memorize the quizzes!

This class is difficult, and you will have to work hard. However, if you put in the time it is very possible to get an A. Dr. Ronald is challenging and expects a lot from his students. He is somewhat difficult to keep up with during lectures, but is helpful and open to questions outside of class.

This professor is denigrating, extremely judgmental, and ultimately ineffective. He will elude to the fact that all of his students are stupid, will assume laziness and carelessness by EVERY student, and is unapproachable for help and questions, as he becomes angry if a student hasn't mastered the material.

Legitimately the worst professor I have ever had. Consistently wastes time on multiple tangents. Teaches mechanisms along with everything else off of a power-point. loses his thoughts constantly. Mumbles and expects us to be educated on ideas that have not yet been covered, he expects his students to be at his caliber being a Stanford graduate.

Literally the worst teacher I have ever had. He made us feel stupid for asking questions in lecture and read from the power points, which ultimately resulted in me not attending lecture for the last half of the semester. The final was RIDICULOUS and asked such detailed questions after telling us over and over to only focus on "big picture" topics.

This was probably one of the most difficult classes I have ever taken. The lectures are very boring, the homework is hard and takes forever to do, the final was absolutely horrible. The only reason I passed this class was because of a curve in the grading, but do not count on that. I seriously would not recommend taking this if you do not have to.

Worst teacher I have ever had! He is mean to the students in his class, he sometime gives 50+ pages of homework for the week. He gets mad when students ask him questions. And everything on the quizzes and tests is just what ever pops into his head! Do not take his class if possible!!!!

He gives a lot of extra credit but in order to do well in this class you have to study. He is so boring but go to class, sometimes he offers extra credit in class just for showing up. The lab quizzes are so hard but a lot of exam information comes from here. I got an A in the class but studied at least 25-35 hours a week.

He promises lots of extra credit at the end of the semester but doesn't mention that you have to receive 100% on every homework assignment prior to be eligible for it. Do not rely on this. The final is unnecessarily hard and a majority of the questions are based on very minute topics barely covered in class. Be prepared.

This class makes me laugh and cry at the same time. He teaches material way beyond the scope of the text and test questions are often obscure and specific references to something glanced over in the lecture. On the other hand, tons of extra credit, basic homework assignments and he really wants us to get it, if that even matters...

His lab quizzes are extremely hard, but you can get 80% on all his exams if you study the material from the quizzes. He does not offer study guide or reviews (though the TA's tried), and there is always a ton of homework. He does offer a ton of extra credit stuff so it helps your grade in the end, if you have tried on all his other assignments.

I would not recommend this professor to anyone. He does not teach anything, you have to teach yourself everything and he is no help when you try get help from him. I would also say he is unprofessional and does not want students to do well. Avoid if at all possible!

Reads directly off power point and puts them online so theres no need to go to class. Tests come directly from quizzes and lecture. I have been teaching myself and relying on my TA to learn the material all semester. If at all possible avoid this professor.
