Great professor, and extremely knowledgeable. He is not interested in you memorizing information; he just wants to see that you have paid attention and learned a couple of things. He is a funny guy if you and he is very laid-back. The only thing is that the class is 100% lecturing and his voice is a bit monotone, but I loved the class nonetheless.

Comment:
Depressing topics made light by his dry sense of humor. Easy A, INTERESTING INFORMATION. Even though you don't have to show up or read, do it anyways, it is an eye- opener. Bolin is a smart and genuine guy, totally recommend.

Grade only relies on 3 major tests and 5 points of extra credit. No final. Tests are multiple choice and on own time but its hard to find answers, everything is in the readings which are long. If you aren't interested in this, don't take it. Its not easy!

I'm glad I took this class just for the fact that it opened my eyes to several different justice issues in the world. Ask questions or talk with Prof Bolin whenever you get the chance because he is very knowledgable. The exams are easy if you take notes during lecture and spend some time reading the text. I would definitely recommend.

Environmental Anthropology. He is flexible with assignments and readings. Easy grader, just wants to see that you actually listened once in awhile and read something. Interesting to listen to. He's an expert on the subject. Is understanding of circumstances (flaky group members of a project, car problems, too early in the morning, etc.) He gets it.

Knowledgable and witty. Great professor. Knows so much from the top of his head. Very liberal, hates humans, but it's funny because you will become liberal too!

Bolin is someone that ASU is lucky to have. His sense of humor is a welcome addition to any classroom. He has a great understanding of what he is teaching, and how to best explain it. He gives plenty of time for the assaingments and will assist you the whole way. I RECOMEND HEAVILY!!

This instructor is usually in the Anthropology classes, but what a treat to have him for Sociology. Great sense of humor and really is concerned with you getting a good grade. As well as understanding the material. Three essays with plenty of structure and help along the way. I recommend heavily.

This instructor has such a dry sense of humor that you can't help but laugh at the jokes. I sometimes would interrupt the lecture by my late understanding of something said being a joke. His class is very structured and you should be able to do well.
