I am 28 years old. I can confidently say that he was the worst teacher I can remember having. Apparently he lazily recycles old tests. So the devious students get a hold of all these tests, and the ones with integrity do not. You can imagine how the grading scale works out.

Dr. B doesn't deserve the comments he's received. I'm a graduate and although I found his class extremely challenging, he made me WANT to learn, and I still remember what he taught and can use it today. Thanks to the need to take careful notes, I have great references. He's very interesting and helpful. Don't let other reviewers scare you away!

Class is not for people who start studying the night before the exam. take notes and read through your notes every 2-3 days in chronological order starting at day 1 and then read through the present. I agree that Bornstein is very very hard, but if you have any problems he is quite helpful if you ask him questions. He is also one of the nicest professors I've had. I didn't do that well in his class, but if I had used him as a resource in the beginning, I think that I would have done better.

It's sad that so many people give him bad ratings. Students who fear his classes are really missing out on a lot of wisdom. It's true that his tests are difficult, but he makes you WANT to do well. College isn't the place to take the easy road. You will be glad for the things you learned.
