Useless class.. Worst professor i've had this year. I didn't learn a damn thing in any class, and couldn't even tell you what the course is about. Barely anyone passed the midterm or final, including me. All this class did was lower my GPA. He wasn't my lab instructor, but that guy wasn't any better and should retire. I hate him, labs, and STL.

Why does Iona College still employ this man and the rest of the STL Department? I had to take this course even though I am a Finance major!WHY? You will not learn anything, and the professor mumbles to himself the entire class about random scientific developments and whatnot. Only a handful of students passed the midterm or final. Labs suck too.

this is professor mumble jumble he keeps his hand over mouth and talk low you cant understand a word he says so i barely went to class n had friends sign me in. u learn nothing but stupid puzzles he gives. Puzzles, midterm & final... none of these are easy so cheat or something and u'll do fine. But if u do actually want to learn go somewhere else.

Carroll is the biggest nerd I've ever come across. He thinks he's funny and makes jokes but he talks so low you can barely hear them. I had him for lab, and he is a harsh grader. If you don't do it exactly how he wants you to do them, he takes off major points. Sometimes he will just walk out of the room during a lab and won't come back. Crazy

this guys reminds me so much of milton from office space. he is really sarcastic and as long as it is not directed towards you, it will make you laugh. talks really quietly, not very clear on what he wants us to do all the time...lab grades are pretty unfair thus far, he takes off whole points for the most ridiculous stuff...

DO NOT RECOMMEND - He talks for 52 min straight about nothing, meanwhile you are expected to know all the chapters. He talks low, and you have to speak up for him to hear you. Try someone else, but if you must take him bring a laptop, psp, or noose to hang yourself!

The absolute worst teacher I've ever had. Rude, unapproachable, and miserable. Decided to leave the class in the middle of my midterm & when I finally found him after running up and down the halls & stairs of Cornelia he said I was lucky that I found him. I'm lucky?????? Even though I got an A, which I busted my butt for def do not take this man!

Definitely take him over the winter session. It made be a lot of work but stay on top of it and show that you are interested in learning and doing good in the class. Try to get 10s on the labs b/c they help if you don't do so great on the exams.
