Cooper is a great professor. He lectures really well and entertaining. The grade is based on 6 homework assignments and a final. Cooper goes over how to do each homework in great detail, so they're very easy as long as you listen.

Well prepared and organized lectures that were entertaining to listen to. Gave real world application assignments and gives great clear explanations/instructions. Emails back pretty quickly and appears to love his job! Final is a little tricky but doable. Would definitely recommend him!

returns graded homeworks fast. posts only homework online, not notes. all notes are from lecture, not even handouts. class starts easy then gets very tough. he starts helpful then answers less questions and grades harsher. got an A in every other cs core class except his. take discrete first.

Dr. Cooper is very knowledgeable and helpful. His homework's come straight from the notes and his tests come straight from the homework's. He's very accommodating, but his class is no easy A. Study hard, do the HW's, and ask questions and you should be fine.

Enjoyed this teacher very much. Made the class interesting and has a great sense of humor. The topics are a bit difficult and hard to follow but usually what he writes on the board will help enough to do the assignments. His tests are impossible and acknoledges that by making the midterm only worth a homework assignment. Will pass if taken serious.

Nothing really great to say about this class. It was pretty much an hour of just listening to him talking to nobody in particularly while taking notes for the homeworks. I didn't really learn anything useful. Good news is, as long as you actually try to do the homeworks and tests you'll pass. Bad news is the class is boring.

Professor Cooper is so adorable! He is also very helpful with some concerns I had. This is probably one of the only college math classes where there are NO TESTS! He literally said that he wants us to have fun with his lessons and just observe and get the basics of what he shows.The only homework are so easy; don't take if you want challenging math

You know the old saying, "The smartest guys in the room?" Well, he's the guy that's in that room. Probability/Stochastic Models. Take it with him. Getting an A is no easy task in that class, but he teaches in a way that whatever you put in you WILL get your money's worth.

Great professor ... The material is not easy.. I took his class spring 2010 ... Very knowledgable .. Funny .. He is extremely helpfully but u need to ask.. Do all the work assigned and understand it then u'll get an A in his class .. Grading style or method is completely different and to the advantage of students .. I highly recommend him ..

Extremely knowledgeable about subject matter, this is great except that one gets the feeling he'd rather be teaching a grad course & sometimes breezes through the material, which is difficult. Very helpful & respectful, however, honest, up-front (no suprises) and most importantly, fair. You won't pass without hard work, but you'll get something out

Dr. Cooper is a very smart teacher. He explains well and takes time to make sure everyone is understanding his class. He gives a lot of help for homeworks so you'll have a good start. Knows his subject extremely well. Midterm and final are open book.
