The most challenging and the most fun course I have ever taken. Dr. Dolan is so wise that his lectures make you question your intellectual existence. He's also good at explaining ideas and may appear to be like a misanthropist but a true warm-heart person inside. Prepare to work hard and remain conscious in the face of his witty weekly quizzes.

The most challenging course I have EVER taken, but it is so worth it- Dr Dolan is the most intelligent man you will ever meet. He is intimidating, but very easily accessible and helpful at his office hours. If you're an econ major, take his class. He weeds out the weak, but once you make it through you have all the tools to succeed in the future

Dr. Dolan makes you love economics. His stories make the dull parts of the course go by. Does a great job of explaining difficult concepts. The grading on the tests are tough, but its possible to get an A. The class isnt alot of work if you are understanding the material. If you dont get it, then you should just quit.

Hands down my favorite teacher I have ever had and this was probably the hardest class I've ever taken if that puts things into perspective. Extremely intelligent, you almost gain knowledge just from being in the same room. Lots of work and effort needed for the course but you will leave feeling so intelligent.

I've never had such an aggressive, mean spirited teacher. I dreaded going to Dr. Dolan's class, as he frequently berates students for no reason whatsoever. Dr. Dolan is very condescending when you meet with him outside of class.

Dr. Dolan knows a lot about economics but is very concerned about GPA and has told several students to drop his class because he didn't think they would succeed based off of how well they did two weeks into the semester. He is not the most clear with what he wants on assignments and has good office hours. Do not take.

I Hate Rob D though I ranked top in his class. His way of thinking is out of fashion, staying within his own circle can not help with his poor judgement on current affairs. A fuddy-duddy who feels good about himself. My final words, A professor should always keep his mind open and welcome all kinds of culture, Rob haven't achieved this.

One of the most challenging courses I've taken at U of R. Very difficult to get an A on his exams and weekly quizzes. It is possible, only if you study really hard. But one of the best professors I had here. Very knowledgeable

Hands down the best professor I know. You'll probably not get an A (very few do), but you'll learn so much. Econ is a pretty logic-intense subject, but he explains it like its algebra. If you don't understand the material during class, go to his office hours and you will have several epiphanies by merely being in his presence. No kidding

Loves natty light. Dolan is a very good teacher, however his class is challenging. In test, he expects you to spit out word for word what he said. Tough grader. Kind of arrogant in his own way.

Dolan is the man. If you don't do the work, don't complain. It isn't an easy A, and problem set grades can be frustrating, but he definitely makes you learn, and has a great sense of humor. Take the time to get to know him, he's a really cool guy. If you're an econ major, take his class, no questions asked.

Class was very captivating and you learned so much every class. Problem sets are very helpful and you will definitely know your micro stuff by the end.
