Comment:

Ms. Knouse is the best math professor I've ever had. She explains everything in great detail. She dislikes "miracles" happening on the whiteboard. If you pay attention and ask questions you will understand everything she says. Homework/tests aren't that bad. The book is needed for problems but not in class. You can definitely borrow someone else's.

Comment:

Mrs. Knouse definitely knows her math. Will help through any question you ask, especially on the homework. Class is graded heavily by tests, with homework worth only 10%. As long as you are faithful in attending and put the work in to the class, she is a great teacher. Book only for practice problems that can be found in online solutions.

Mrs. Knouse is an amazing professor. I took her for both Calc 1 and 2. She really cares about her students. Sometimes she can be a tad unclear but she is more than willing to answer questions and tutor one-on-one. I've lost count of how many hours I've spent with her in her office since math does not come easy to me. Wish she was teaching Calc 3.

Knouse rambles. I've had her for two classes and both times, I couldn't figure out if she was talking about math or her personal life. If everyone misses the same thing on a test, she gets mad at everyone, instead of realizing she messed up. For a math professor, she's extremely illogical. Oh, and now devo responses are graded.

She was awesome in all the classes that I took from her. I went out of my way to make sure that I was always in her class! I even got to TI for her! She always makes you feel important and she does not make you feel like she does not enjoy being there! She loves to teach and she is a great inspiration to me for my teaching career!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mrs. Knouse is a VERY good professor. She knows her math( it really is amazing !). I would recommend her for all your math classes. She is always willing to explain concepts in the class that may be hard to understand. The best thing though that I enjoy about her class is how quickly she gets our papers back to us. I would definately recommend Mrs.

very nice, helpful, but not the clearest in her teaching. Forgets to talk about big chunks of material before assigning homework sometimes. Much better than Roden though.

Easy on the homework. Just try half the problems and get full credit. She also accepted late papers for full credit. Test were ok. Many times offered to have a special review class just before the test. Good at math not so good at applying it to engineering.

She thinks her class is hard, but then makes it ridiculously easy. Unfortunately, this means engineers are completely unprepared for future classes that actually need you to know diffequ...without charts and maple. Imagine that. Unfortunately, she's your only option for diffequ. :-/
