Comment:

I personally enjoyed having him. He's a retired meteorologist that knows what he's talking about. Lectures were easy to understand, and if you didn't get it, he was very receptive to answering questions. Lab work and tests are reasonably challenging.

Comment:

I was a student of Professor Eisenson's from 2004-2007 and again in '14. He is an all around excellent professor. He is very clear and understandable, and will go out of his way to help you. He makes learning meteorology fun for everyone. I recommend taking any of his courses whether your in or outside the major.

Comment:

Easily the worst professor at WCSU. Suppose to be a freshmen level course, but he talks to the class as if everyone is an expert in the field. The guys very knowledgeable, but the way he comes off rubs people the wrong way. Material on tests are difficult, its almost impossible to get an "A" on any of them. I wouldn't take him unless necessary.

Was a junior with a 3.82 GPA before taking this class and ended up with a C, kept in contact with many of the other students and not one them received anything higher than a B. Most students barely passed. Labs and tests are very difficult, the professor is super up tight and a complete buzz kill. Avoid taking him if possible.

Though Professor Eisenson is rather stern with attendance and not generally giving make-up exams, he is a good professor. If he sees you take the initiative and have a passion for learning the material, he will help you as much as he can. Mainly an easy to follow course.

Hard teacher, do not take it if you are not a meteorology major! I learned a lot in his class, it was interesting. His class is usually straight forward, no problem, but the tests and the labs will make or break your grade and he grades without mercy.

This class is going to kill my GPA &completely change my academic track-it's a Gen Ed requirement for me.I know I'm in chage of my own success (you don't need to remind us, meteorology majors) but it's not taught like an intro class & is an unrealistic challenge for ppl who have way too many other things to do. Terrible class if you are not a meteorology major, very hard and very boring class and prof. Eisenson breezes through things very quickly and clearly cares more about the met. majors than the people who just need a lab sci class. If the very difficult exams don't kill you, the boring lectures will. I dropped the course.

Not an easy class, especially compared to when Dr. Owino teaches it. He's clear and helpful but if you're not a meteorology major you'll be bored to death. Show up on time and study hard for his tests.

He is really really hard, but he is sympathetic to individuals who are struggling but who go in for help, and show effort and make sureeeeee you go to class, he has been thinking of starting to count attendance as a test grade, and it is important that you go because lab is ten times more confusing with the lab professor he has working under him .

MTR 150 is a great class but the test are very tricky and hard. For the non-meteorological majors, it will will bore you out and pick your brains out!! This class is designed for serious meteorology students and be there at all classes so he will like you.

A WARNING TO ALL NON-MTR MAJORS!!!! - do NOT take this guy, he hates anyone who takes his class for a lab cuz he thinks everyone who takes it takes it cuz its easy. So he designs the test so that all MTR majors get easy grades, and everyone else bombs it if they havent taken an MTR class before. Tests are very hard and class is boring
