Show up to class and do the clickers. Don't bother paying attention to his lecture but when he does example problems, PAY ATTENTION AND WRITE IT DOWN. most test and quiz questions come from his extended response examples he does toward the end of class. He's not good at explaining during lecture but youtube videos help A LOT.

"The work here is negative remember because... okay." Actual quote from one of Endorf's lectures. Avoid at all costs.

WE LOVE ENDY show up to class just to do clickers, but other than that no need to pay attention if you are half competent in basic physics. dont need the book, but you need the webassign access code

Average professor. He's has a very boring/dry teaching strategy. He tries to get students involved yet rushes them through the problems. Likes to put students on the spot if no one is paying attention. He helps to teach you the material, but isn't the only person you should rely on to teach you.

He creates each exam yet he can not help prepare his own students for said test. Unless you have his mind your not going to understand what he is rambling on about.

He is terrible. He doesn't teach anything and the exams are absolutely ridiculous (too long to finish in the time, too difficult compared to what we "learn"). All sections take the same exams, and I've heard you have to teach yourself in other sections too, so who your instructor is is pretty irrelevant. The physics department is ridiculous.

He can't teach, plan on teaching yourself pretty much anything. His handwriting is horrible so you can never read practice test solutions or his notes in class. Lectures are boring, he reads straight off of power points, can't finish his sentence for one topic &then starts on something new. He's very scatter brained. Save yourself & don't take him

Very nice guy. Truly loves physics. Reads from powerpoints a lot. Class can get kind of boring. He does write the tests though so I reccomend him.

He spends a great deal of time deriving equations. He is boring to listen to in that respect, but he does a lot of the exam writing, so if you ask the right questions and do all of his homework, you will do well.

His lectures are extremely boring, and honestly going to his classes aren't totally necessary because they're straight from the book but he's not terrible

He is a okay professor. I took other physics proffessor at UC and he was probably the most helpful. Better than the rest because he is the head. Lectures are kinda boring.

Every section takes the same test and he writes it, so you may as well take his lecture, although Hans Peter has a sweet cowboy tie.

He's the lesser of the evils. I'd recommend him over all the other ones, but not if you hate PRS (he uses it everyday)

Pretty good prof, from what I've heard he's the best of the possible profs for general physics. Co-ordinates the course, so you get the layout straight from the source. Uses the clicker a lot, and fills out grades so that low exam scores don't really effect the final grade too badly. Very interested in education and teaching physics, this is good!

Lectures are boring. Quizzes aren't too bad, but exams difficult if you are rushed for time or aren't focused on what you need to do. Otherwise, not a hard course. Seems to have a fair grading scale in the long run.

Let's face it... No one likes physics. I would say Endorf is the best bet if you want to learn physics and get out with a good grade. His test averages are always higher than the other teachers. He can get too detailed in lecture, but in the end all is well. He has been teaching long enough that he knows what is effective.

Homework, quizzes, and exams are all disjointed. More interested in seeing how to teach physics than actually teaching it. You would think for someone obsessed with how to teach they would be a good teacher, but that theory is blown out of the water here.

Physics III was a lot easier than I or II, at least the tests were and that's all that matters. Endorf lectures about what he loves, Physics, and nobody really cares except the kids in the front row. He knows this because they are the only ones that he asks questions. The only reason to attend is because of clicker questions.

Far more interested in doing educational research than in teaching anyone physics. There's always a substantial logical leap between the lectures and the exam problems, which is also true of the unhelpful textbook: five or six easy problems and then one insane one out of nowhere. Not much point in showing up to the lectures, except that it's designed so that you have to.
