I took Dr Felgar for an online class for EH202. He always made himself available for distance students and answered emails usually within a few hours. His syllabus is clear and concise so there is no confusion about the assignments. He demands that you are thorough in your essay questions. I highly recommend Dr Felgar for online distance students.

Brilliant man. I had trouble reaching him for office hours a few times but he's the department head so it's expected that he's really busy. If you need him, try to catch him right after class and he'll help you with whatever you need.

One of the most brilliant minds at JSU. He wants you to personally get something out of the pieces we read. As long as you get a message from the works, and show them to him logically you will be fine. I learned so much more than what was in the books from him. Fantastic experience!!!

Very nice and quiet teacher. He gives essay tests, which could be good and bad. as long as you show up for class and get your notes, you should be okay. Overall, he's a nice teacher. But the class (American Lit 2)...VERY BORING

I took him for Film Noir, and I really enjoyed it. He's very quiet, so you really have to pay attention when he's talking, but he's very knowledgable. He's always available to answer questions. His tests are all essays, and he expects a lot of detail. As long as you pay attention to the movies, and what he says about them, you should be ok.

Dr. Felgar is one of the best professors I've had in my college career. He's extremely passionate about the material and it shows. He really cares about the success of his students. One of the nicest and most brilliant men I've ever had the honor of meeting.

He looks like Mark Twain. He's a very intelligent man and very open-minded. He reads to the class and you only need to know what he goes over. He gives sample questions and is willing to answer anything. His tests are essay, but there are no term papers or quote identifying. Take notes and put that on the tests and you'll do fine.

Is an old-school opinionated feminist. There is no room for interpretations to his essays. You will be expected to repeat everything he told you in class in the form of an essay without seeming to. All tests are essay with 3 questions ..choose two. Has a bumbling reading voice and does not allow students to read selected poems.Dont do it!!

Dr. Felgar is so nice! He is the head of the English department, and he knows what he is talking about. You need to go to class and take down everything he says. His tests are essays and he wants you to write down everything you know (which should be many pages). I ended up with a B in the class.
