Social cog is a lot easier than he makes it seem on syllabus day. He doesn't use a book, but multiple articles you need to read. His lectures are just him talking, so you need to go to class. Each test has a good amount of material with part short answer, but he gives easy quizzes that help make studying easier. He is evolution/science heavy though

The material is really interesting and he picks really neat articles that coincide with lecture. He is sometimes hard to follow but if you read the articles ahead of time and take good notes you should easily make an A.

Wonderful professor! The first week of class I was overwhelmed with the amount of work we were given, but I love his lectures and the long review is easy to fill out along with lectures. NEED to take notes, but he is extremely knowledgable! Definitely ask questions because he knows all & teaches in depth. Wish I could take him again. READ&STUDY

Amazing course, professor is great- easy to talk to and he gives a lot of real world examples in the lecture to help you understand the material. If you go to class, pay attention, and ask questions about the material you don't get, you will get an A. Favorite upper division psych class so far. Make friends with classmates- STUDY GROUPS are a MUST!

Dr. Fuhrman is the only professor I would ever want teaching me social cognition. This was by far the hardest psych class I have ever taken, but Dr. Fuhrman is very kind and intelligent and will make sure you have everything you need to do the best you can. This class was very challenging, but also very rewarding. Start on your outlines early!

interesting class, interesting professor. His test are extremely hard and wordy, his reviews are super long as well. I learned a lot in the class and he makes some funny but corny jokes, MUST go to class because the book doesn't relay the information he teaches in class. if you take the class, good luck and study hard! begin the review sheet day 1.

the worst class i have ever taken at UTSA and not because of the material. He does have a lot of knowledge in the area but it is not portrayed on to students due to his lack of teaching skills. He is hard to follow because he rambles, goes on tangents,topic jumps, and his voice is absolutely awful ( mumbles,monotone) DONT TAKE

interesting class; prof has a wealth of knowledge in the area. that knowledge does not translate to teaching skill: gives awful lectures, which are frequently characterized by tangents and dearth of structure. it's such a shame, too...if he lectured better, this class would've been awesome. i've carried a 4.0 the last 2 years and never had problems taking notes--but i am befuddled by the "lecture" ?'s on his reviews

I dont know what class some of these people took because I thought he was horrible. He is boring and he mumbles. His tests are weirdly worded. His class is sooooo boring but you have to go because his tests are heavily lecture based.

This professor is very full of knowledge. It was a very interesting class. However, be prepared to take notes non-stop. the worst part is that he only dictates. no structure or outline to notes. Review sheets are insane and tests are too. I love psychology but this professor has really made me reconsider grad school in the field of psychology.

He is an amazing professor! Be prepared to dedicate much time to reading and doing the SUPER long review sheets (very important), but his lectures are very interesting, and if you listen, you can learn a lot from him. Definitely worth taking if you are dedicated to learning.

If you came to college to learn, then this is the teacher to have - he really knows his stuff and tries to give you your money's worth. Yes, there is quite a bit of work, but anything worth having is worth working for - like a college education! I would take any of his classes I could.

Fantastic teacher! Never learned so much in my life. Definitely prepares you for grad school and makes you think. Make sure you come to class and form a group to split up review questions - they will save your life! Funny, helpful and explains ideas in words everyone can understand. I love him!
