Unfortunately, I was the last ETS class that Gates ever taught. The class was amazing. He taught the theory of psychoanalysis and then showed examples in stories. Really encouraging and really helpful. The class was graded on participation and essays. I'll miss Gates, but he said that he might still teach photography class in Syracuse oddly enough.

Prof Gates is an incredible teacher. This class is easy and interesting and he really is the nicest guy ever. there are like 4 papers and a final paper but thats it just make sure you go to class and do the readings its an easy and interesing class. i recommend it to anyone

I absolutely adore Bob Gates. Inspirtational, understanding, approachable, insightful, slightly moody. he will bend the rules for you sometimes but he's not a push over. very good at reading people. sees through crap and fakeness. Always do the reading bc if you dont you will not only screw yourself, but you'll completely miss out
