I was not interested in Biology before this class, but I loved every second of the class. He's a great professor with a good attitude who both knows Biology up and down, and absolutely loves it. Would highly recommend to anyone who needs a lab science.

Great prof. Bio is his world. You will have to work for your grade..no curve, but he never tests on something that he did not teach. Pay attention, go to class, be serious about putting in time to study, and you can do well in his classes.

Lives, eats, and breathes Biology. Challenging exams but relatively easy, never studied but 2 days before the exam. Gets boring listening to his lectures after about 2 weeks. Labs are elementary. Well rounded professor but not all that difficult as long as you realize you're paying to be there and actually study for the exams.

Good teacher, had him for Bio 103. Come to class, take notes. I didn't even open the book once and I was able to pass his class. Especially so since I didn't have Bio for six years since high school.

What a bunch of idiots. Seems like half of you expected to come to college and not have to work for your grades. Cry me a river guys. Put down the beer and pick up a textbook and actually read it instead of complaining that everything isn't spoonfed into your mouths. Gendron is an excellent professor whose class is challenging, as it should be.

This class was okay. Try to always pay attention & take your own notes. Always do the study guides & notes and try NOT to miss class or you will have a lot to catch up on (pop quizzes!). His labs aren't bad, try and get into his lab section (it helps)! Tests are VERY difficult no matter how much you study. I worked very hard and got a low B.

Terrible teacher, worst I've ever had; tests are EXTREMELY hard, and i even did the chapter outlines and study guides as well as i read every chapter of the book for the tests and still failed them. would NOT recommend him.

He's very interested in his subject and makes it easy for non-majors to understand. Read the book, use his outline notes and study guides for tests and you'll be fine. Kind of looks like Harrison Ford. Would be hotish if he lost like 20lbs and darkened his hair lol.

good professer, interested in what he teaches, the study guides are useful. Defintiely study the notes and do the study guide but defintiely study the notes! his tests are very hard and indirect but they are fair. The reproduction exam is extremely hard! also, if you can - take him for lab as well because he put information from his labs on the tes

Best bio prof I've had. Test are difficult but fair, it's a bio major course. To do well you will have to read the book as well as study the notes. Study guides are huge. Quizzes are announced the day before, and only on note material, not book. Makes bio interesting, and good in lab too.

Dr. Gendron is a great professor! This class has a lot of information, so you have to work to get a good grade. Study guides are big, but prepare you well for the test if you know all the stuff. He curves, and gives some extra credit opportunities. Lab is pretty easy to do well in. I would take another class with him.

I got stuck in Bio bc the Geosciences were taken up. No attendence policy, random lecture quizzes, lab quizzes every week, tests are VERY hard. Good guy, nothing against him I just don't like Bio. He gives you way too much information in lecture, and then gives a huge book study guide. Not many q's on test but hard to know what to study.

Does not give a lot of notes. Notes are clear but exams are difficult. The exams are not staight foward..questions are indirect in relation to the notes..very few matching.. majority is short essays. He is very enthusiastic of his lectures. Recommended but be prepared to work hard and get help when necessary.

Nice guy, tries to make class fun. He's pretty funny, but the tests are kinda hard if you dont study. His notes are really organized, which is a plus. The study guides are MASSIVE, which are okay if you really like bio and want to put some time and effort into it. I didn't, and still pulled a B. Overall, okay course, just boring.

He is a nice guy and very interested in Biology. I studied very hard and made 80-85 on all the tests. There was a curve and my lab grade got me an A overall. Although he was quite monotone. If you dont mind some work take this class. And if you, like others "study for hours and still get an F" Then you might just be retarded...

its challenging but not too hard if you ctudy (he makes a big deal of that - "reading is not studying"). Ignore the whiners - I've never seen a prof try so hard to be helpful. Lectures are clear. Puts lots of pics in his PowerPoint to help get ideas across.
