Sci/Tech in an Impoverished World is an Honors class. If you lack the intestinal or intellectual fortitude to handle coming to class and doing papers, don't register. You will learn how to craft proposals, and be exposed to socioeconomic paradigms beyond your own, viewed from the perspective of technological innovation. Excellent professor.

Math Physics I is where the difficulty level takes a huge spike relative to previous physics courses, and quite a few people will drop physics altogether because of this. With that in mind, Dr. Giles is a good guide to show you the next level of physics. He stresses that these become your tools - and he's right. No more slacking at this level.

great guy. really cares about his students. is very willing to give extra help, and genuinely cares what kind of grade you get. tests are by the prof of another section so not much room for adjustment in the syllabus, but he does very well in teaching it

Great Professor.. very enthusiastic. This was his first semester teaching this course (he's a physicist) and he was very clear and informative. You must read the material and pay attention to the math portion to do well.

Good prof. Hard, but seems to know his stuff. Will demand alot, but willing to help if you show effort. Hard tests, but is fair. For an older guy, he's not bad to look at!
