This guy cannot teach, period. He is a nice guy, and knows his stuff, but when it comes to communicating it to the class, he seems to have trouble. You're really gonna need to be self motivated to ace this class, but it's not hard to pass it. I recommend the tutoring center and lots of practice, cause his lectures wont help much.

Goodhue is a great guy, esp. in recitation. Lectures are sometimes confusing, b/c he goes fast in an attempt to cover lots of material. Use print versions of notes and past tests, and go to review sessions to prep for tests. very helpful in one on one situations also

Unfortunately, his lecture was made mandatory by the required purchase of an RF Transmitter, which is really unfair because I go to his class now and play freecell or minesweeper (no wireless signal) the entire lecture because his lectures simply make physics seem more complicated than it is.

Had him for Lecture and Rec. He's really a good guy, learned a lot in recitation but I never went to lectures. I think if I tried harder I would have got a better grade. He's so nice in person, he even gave me a textbook because the one he assigned was so unclear. (I guess I should return it seeing as I passed that course last year...)

Had him for lecture. His demos were good and his examples were great too, but his notes are THE WORST. It's all chicken scratch, so you can't follow anything if you need to. In lecture, when he goes over his math, it just goes way over head. His voice is difficult to get used to also. He's a good guy, it's just hard with 150 people in the room

Goodhue is a good guy. I had him for Physics I lecture. You can tell he really likes physics. It would be cool to have him for lecture and recictation. His tests are carbon copies of past tests which he makes available.

Prof. Goodhue is an excellent teacher. I had him for recitation, and if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have passed. He's very helpful, and offers private study sessions before exams which really make a difference. I didn't get to have him for lecture, but I know he'd be great. No matter what, take Goodhue for physics 1!!!

Again a nice man. Think it's the physics that bores everyone to death. The exams are extremely difficult. There is a major scale i'm told though. He tries every humanly way possible for his students to succeed from changing the time of the exams(late @ nite) to pre exam study session. Has many past exams out to practice on

good teacher, and a pretty easygoing guy. real fair grader and he helps u understand everything. its pretty easy to get an A, just do most of the hw, show up for quizzes, and use your clicker thing in lecture (you get points for it). tests are pretty fair too, definitely study the ones from previous years.

So far i feel like he's a very good teacher....except for the handwriting because i can never ever read anything he writes on the over head...and his lecture notes are just a waste of paper because they can'e be read. But once u get over that he's a good teacher...he'll make sure u understand everything...and he's very fair with tests and quizzes

first off, when he does lecture to 300 people e should turn the microphone on because nobody can hear. Secondly try reading what he writes on the board, his chicken scratch with a red felt tip overhead marker results in a big page of period juice thats incomprehendable. Avoid going to lecture waste
