Great guy, funny and respectful. I thought that his notes and explanations were clear, and all of his assignments and tests are take home, and you are allowed to use all of the notes for them. He is a little bit of a tough grader, but since you can use all of the materials, it is not hard at all to get an A.

Comment:

Excellent teacher and person. He is very witty and is a good lecturer. Class is very organised which makes tackling the info a lot more manageable. Lengthy homeworks but they are important to do and understand to do well in the class. Probably one of the best math professors you will have at Simmons!

He's a very good grader. He gives lots of partial credit, even if not deserved. The lectures would be boring if it weren't for his sense of humor. All of the tests are take home and most of the homework is group projects.

Goldman is the man! He's so funny and his lecture notes are so clear. The homeworks are long, but if you just go to class and use the notes you will do just fine. Just be aware of that his homework and take home exams take a good amount of time to complete. Overall, the classes he teaches are simply amazing ! I learn so much! GO BOB! lol

Simply incredible. By far one of the best professors I've ever had. Took an honors class with him and was struggling pretty hard, but I went to see him every week for help and he was beyond patient. Super helpful and helped me ace the class, despite my lack of knowledge in stats compared to the rest of the students.

Taking MATH 229 next semester BECAUSE of Goldman. Bob is brilliant and adorable. Encouraging and passionate about student learning. He's really top in his field. You'll leave his class actually having learned something and while it's not an EASY A, he is very fair. Class is very laid back.

I found him a bit too intensive for an intro class, I felt like I had to put in much more effort than I should be. Especially compared to other stats courses at Simmons, I felt like he's harder. You will learn, but after awhile his sarcastic humour gets old and if you're anything like me you'll hate him by the time the semester ends.

I was dreading taking Intro Stats, but Professor made me love statistics! Now I'm a Biostats minor and I couldn't be happier! His notes are very organized and his explains everything very clearly. And of course his accent is awesome!

He does not do a good job at explaining things, and does not make it clear what is important for the tests. He is rude to students, and his sense of sarcasm can be taken the wrong way. When you ask a question, he looks at you dumbfounded as if you are stupid for not knowing the answer to the question.

Professor Goldman is the best Stats professor at Simmons! Definitely take his class if you have to take Intro. Stats. You'll work hard but it's worth it because you'll actually understand the material when it comes time to exams. Funny teacher and doesn't mind students asking tons of questions. And yes, his accent is cool.

Professor Goldman WAS THE BEST!!! This guy made me look forward to coming to class. He was hilarious and made learning stats easy. His accent is adorable and he sometimes sounded like Ozzy Osbourne. He is EXCELLENT with office hours if you need them. I definitely plan on taking another class with this man!

Robert Goldman is an amazing professor. I have always hated math, and dreaded taking this course, but he really made it fun, funny, interesting, and delivered the material in a very clear, organized fashion. He is a tough grader, but as long as you pay attention to what he's asking you for, you shouldn't have any trouble doing well in his class.

LOVE him. Class is funny and he is very leniant and helpful with assignments. My only problem is how hard he is with grading his tests. Be VERY thorough with your explanations and go through your notes to make sure they are correct.
